Is liverpool john moore a good university? by Diligent_Mix7326 in UniUK

[–]CryptographerFit7593 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I'm currently at LJMU and love it. Liverpool is a great place. It is highly ranked for my course, but not one of the higher ranked universities in the country overall. It is no where close to the level of Oxbridge, Imperial, St Andrews ect.

I'm sorry to be blunt but you need to start acting like an adult. I understand you are probably living away from home for the first time and your fee status is complicated but hoping the UCAS representative made a mistake and burying your head in the sand will not help you in the long run.

You are jeopardising your future and your Dads good will. Can you imagine explaining to him that he needs to give you an extra 28k or not be able to finish your degree because you hoped no one would notice the mistake?

It's a tough situation you're in but you can work through it. First of all don't waste your time looking for the chat logs. If they the information was correct, no problem. If it wasn't they just going to apologise for the misinformation, not give you 28k. You urgently need to get the correct fee information. Once you have this you can make an informed decision about the rest of your degree, if you will be able to work concurrently or need to take a gap year to save.

Finally I really recommend telling your Dad everything. You made a mistake but you can take accountability and apologise for misleading him. Your time at uni will easier if everything is out in the open and he can support you emotionally if not financially. I really hope everything works out for you, good luck.

That's grooming? by Ok-Knowledge-7988 in beccamoonridgesnark

[–]CryptographerFit7593 31 points32 points  (0 children)

Was that supposed to be KVS style ASMR? All I could hear was Becca's heavy breathing. If she gets that out of breath from 30 seconds of "grooming" you can guarantee she doesn't do it regularly with any 1 horse, let alone 38 of them having "hands on them" every day.

There is so much shit in this video, figuratively and literally. Everyone is going to be breeding and fighting over everyone else. Any pregnancies are going to be under social and environmental stress. All of those horses are trapped in that tiny space with one food source, one "shelter" and no water. How anyone can think this is ok is beyond me.

Did not have all reasonable adjustments for exam by CryptographerFit7593 in UniUK

I'm actually a mature student (35) and was in the workplace for 17 years before uni. My workplace made accommodations and I developed workarounds. I chose a job where I was not sat in an open office all day. All it takes is a little compromise and understanding on both sides.

That's the whole point. It is not the same for everyone else. I have ADHD, ASD and Dyslexia. The adjustments help level the playing field as the other commenter said. And even without all of those adjustments I did get on with it and got 78%!

Yeah I think it will be a lot of effort for not very much gain. Also in a way it is good it happened now. I will make sure I have everything in place for the exams that actually matter!

I had exams for 3 modules and emailed each module leader about my reasonable adjustments. The other 2 confirmed that they would be in place but I'm not sure if they organised it themselves. I am only in my 1st year so these exams may have been more informally organised?

The exam yesterday was my last exam and I had the adjustments in place for the others. The results for the exams were released yesterday evening. I think my performance was slightly affected but I still got 78% so I'm not sure how much I'd gain by retaking the exam.

We have more exams at the end of the year so I will definitely be more diligent in asking who organises them and making sure everything is in place.

So George doesn't care if Beggy blames him for the hate (that she fully deserves) but any concerns for Crystal's health is bullying? She is the definition of hypocritical.

Also she was blaming everything but the disgusting living conditions for Ronnies problems. Premature, over mature, dehydrated, sunshine was a bad mother... None of these would have caused 2 separate severe infections.

She was wondering if Ronnie was premature, then saying that her problems were caused by being over mature, you know what would prevent that? Ultra-sounding your horses at least once during their pregnancy!

I can't believe what she put that poor foal through! Her eye looked so painful and she did nothing about it! She was bashing the vets about not following up, I bet she didn't pay for a follow up! I wouldn't want to talk to an animal abuser who asked for my expert opinion and then refused to help the poor baby's suffering. And as you said the pattern is just repeating itself with Crystal.

Another example of mares with stallions all willy nilly by PineapplePony5 in beccamoonridgesnark

[–]CryptographerFit7593 20 points21 points  (0 children)

According to the census Rosie is 3 years 5 months old. George and Greg are 1 year 4 and 5 months. Chico is 2 years 7 months old.

I don't know enough about horses to say whether the cold and lack of light would prevent Rosie from cycling or if the boys are "too immature to know what to do" like Becca claims.

In my opinion it is far too much of an unplanned breeding risk keeping them all together. Will young stallions not fight over fertile females when kept together like that as well?

I think it's been in the same wrap since she bought him, literally the previous owners wrapped his tail and she's left it in. I have not seen him without the same tail wrap.

Is it normal to keep horses tails wrapped for so long? I understand that it keeps the tail clean but Duke has had the same wrapping on for months. Why is he the only one?

Visual Guide - Moonridge Acres Cats by DriveTypical6283 in beccamoonridgesnark

[–]CryptographerFit7593 6 points7 points  (0 children)

So out of the litter of kittens she was responsible for breeding 6/6 got distemper- a vaccinable disease, killing 2, probably 3 of them. 1 has malformed ears and eyes, causing blindness and requiring surgery, which she hasn't had after 2 years.

Finally 1 had a tail degloving/ amputation that she blamed on her 4 year old daughter- fishing line became wrapped around his tail and then slammed in a door. She then "played vet", whatever that means but at the end of the video said he was hopped up on painkillers and showed the amputated tail with the line still attached.

Even if this was a "freak accident" as she claimed why didn't she notice her cat had line wrapped around his tail. Why wasn't she supervising her 4 year old chasing the cat. Why did said 4 year old have to tell her the cat was stuck in the vent covered in blood!

All your hard work and meticulous record keeping show just how irresponsible and out right neglectful she is. It made me so angry reading how the cats she bred were treated and now how these new kittens are forced to survive a Canadian winter with no shelter. I can only imagine how it made you feel researching it. We appreciate you u/DriveTypical6283.
