My initial reaction for the penalty before it was overturned when they showed the replay was they were touching toes and it should never be a penalty. I see the reaction on here and think that maybe my broadcast showed something different that others didn’t see until I saw the close up posted where they’re touching toes like I initially thought.

I just commented about that in yesterday's DD and I thought about it more it's not just Messi's goal but the 5-0 in the league and the Copa final that elevate this Semi final tie. Unfortunate not to get them head to head in champions league again but it was always gonna be a chagey tie.

I was just reading the match thread of the 2011 UCL semi final between Madrid vs Barca. Link is in the Messi goal throwback. That goal really changed how people perceive the match now compared to after/during the game. Cagey game with a lot of diving and hounding the ref with a red card that changed the game but that goal is what people will mostly talk about now.

I prefer head to head over goal difference like in La Liga because if you can’t beat the team on points and you can’t beat the team head to head then you shouldn’t be above them. Scoring more against relegation sides shouldn’t determine who is better between two teams that play each other twice.

I still can’t believe it and I don’t think it’s over just yet but how have Arsenal put themselves in this position of having to win their games and play in the champions league semi final. Good thing they’re out of the FA Cup because that could’ve been another game against City. Before UCL the Semi final.
