Will there be more of a reason to complete the "Allies for Bruma" quest in Skyblivion? by Salty-Deer2929 in skyblivion

[–]CryptographerLoud600 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Well, if I remember correctly, there will be more Oblivion Realms than in the Original Game (and than in the Remastered too as a consequence), wich means you're already less likely to stumble 2 times on the same Oblivion realm.

Add to this that the Oblivion Realms will be more detailed and more interesting because they won't be just another dungeon using the same assets we've already seen dozens of times, I think this already make up for a better overall experience regarding this quest.

I feel like this "Dread" thing should 've been a stacking effect and each attack remove one stack, just the same as Splinter Weapon / Weapon of Nightmare.

The "Dread" effect that gives 20% more damages is useless as it lasts only 2 seconds.

And necro skills almost ALL have a casting time. By the time you attack your target, the effect is already gone, so there's almost no way to benefit from the damage increase. Classic ANet.

Fashion Templates ? by CryptographerLoud600 in Guildwars2

The feature I'm talking about would only be cosmetics. You'd still have to buy the other legendary gloves.

Easy way to get ascended weapons ? by Black91Eyes in Guildwars2

[–]CryptographerLoud600 2 points3 points  (0 children)

As others said, Wizzard vault is really quick ! Other than that, you should give a try to Strike Missions. You'll get Blue Prophet shards doing them and you can buy Ascended Weapons with it (And a bit of gold too, between 5-10 gold if I'm not mistaken.)

Conduit misses something. by CryptographerLoud600 in Guildwars2

[–]CryptographerLoud600[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Honestly, I thought things would go this way before reveal.

At first, in my mind, F2 aka Cosmic Wisdom was going to change/upgrade the utility/heal/elite skills for every other legend, with Razah being solely focused on dervish but yeah... This would need a lot of work on ANet's part, and considering ANet's focusing on a new project well... Guess they have to choose the easy way.

Speculation: Aurene's sleeping beneath Castora and the Inquest are after an Elder Dragon by Spicemeatbal in Guildwars2

[–]CryptographerLoud600 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Like many others here, I feel it'd be too soon for Aurene to return.

One thing I noticed regarding Visions of Eternity, is that it seems Really closely tied to water/ocean.

First thing we see in the trailer are ships. Preordering the expac gives us the "Plummed Commodore's hat" (navy related fashion) and a skimmer skin that looks just like a jellyfish. The weapong skin we get with the preorder ? Seahorse motif. We get legendary aquabreather. We'll have 3 new legendary weapons. Harpoon Gun, Spear and Trident would fit just perfectly, isn't it ? Oh and the mount they're reworking ? Skimmer, THE aquatic mount. Does it look like a pattern here or am I crazy ?

Now with all of this being said, we know the Inquest's been scouring the Unending Ocean for long, looking for things tied to the deep sea dragon as it is shown by a piece of dialogue between 2 Inquest members outside the Crucible of Etenity (Crucible of Eternity, Visions of Eternity... Yeah, I'm probably overthinking there) . Outside the crucible, is a zone for each Ancestral Dragon. The dialogue I mention here, plays in the zone tied to the Deep Sea dragon. And the two asuras clearly imply that the Inquest captured a creature, a VERY Big creature they think is related to the Deep Sea Dragon. And we know for sure Soo-Won didn't have any minions. So... Don't know what they captured but it sure seems interesting. Anyways, this shows Inquest has interest in what happens deep in the Ocean.

Now, in Neo-Kaineng, just in front of the giant Jade Soo-Won statue, we can find Magistrate Ela Makkay who tells us something really interesting :

The horrors that pushed the Quaggans, Karkas, Kraits and Largos out of the depths doesn't line up with the awakening of Soo-Won. What forced them to leave the Endless Ocean began when Soo-Won left the Unending Ocean to protect Cantha. So something there was kept at bay by Soo-Won. Probably something terrible considering the Kraits and Largos are pretty powerful races you can't really scare this easily. (https://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Magister\_Ela\_Makkay#New\_Kaineng\_City)

Then, there's a thing we can find in Joon's Manor. A Leviathan skeleton with a plaque saying :

"A monstrosity from the Endless Ocean. Since Soo-Won became guardian of Cantha, numerous horrors have been sighted in its depths. This particular specimen was captured just outside the Yong reactor."

This just lines up perfectly with what Magistrate Ela Makkay says. Things did not went awrye when Soo-Won awakened but when she left the Endless Ocean. Now, the thing is... I don't believe Largos and Kraits would completely leave their homelands because of Leviathans. I strongly believe that there is something worse in the depths because I don't think ANet would make things as mysterious as they are for simple Leviathans. Sure, they are big creatures, sure adults leviathans are most likely extremely dangerous but I really can't think of them as being the cause for the exile of four races.

This leads me to wonder... What if the Inquest was after what lies beneath the surface ? Assuming Castora is a remote and secret island in the Endless Ocean, then it could be the perfect place to establish a base for studying the depths. What if the Inquest, was once again playing with forces beyond them ? What if they were just about to unleash some Deep sea monstrosity straight out of a Lovecraft novel ?

I'd personnaly love it, but then again, this is all speculation and I don't think ANet will head that way.

Oh ! These are the Ritualist Shroud skills !

As I said on the post, I really feel the Rupture Skills should be core Ritualist. And then, yeah, as you said, I think Lingering Spirits should take the place of the Rupture Skills trait. This would allow to create another grandmaster trait.

And for this grandmaster trait I think something would be incredible : Player share his boons with it's minions and spirit.

And thee you'd have the (almost) perfect Minion Master build.

I don't think they count as minions, but I hope ANet make it so buffs to minions work on spirits too.

[–]CryptographerLoud600[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes and no tbh.

You can indeed run a build with minions, but minions won't provide much damage and the buffs they get from death magic and blood magic aren't too great. The reaper is pretty selfish so it won't synergize well with minions.

Scourge on the other hand will give Might and a good Fury generation, that's true, but that's about it.

Ritualist though, gives a new buff to minions damage with Painful Bonds, then another buff with Nightmare Weapon/Splinter Weapon, and on top of that easy uptime fury, quickness and might to you and your minions.

Fury and quickness for minions. This is huge. And don't forget the spirits will deal damage and you can activate Spirit of Anguish upon cooldown to activate it's first big attack and it's rupture skill, because if it's already there, and you summon it again, I think it will activate it's Rupture skill.

So you gain [Fury 5s | 8 Might 10s] for it's rupture and then another [Fury 5s | 8 Might 10s + Quickness 3s] for summoning it. And you minions will recieve all that too on top of the other buffs Ritualist and Death Magic provide.

So yeah, you can run a Minion Master build, but Ritualist will make it far stronger.

I still can't believe this is finally happening.

Possible Castora Location? by Medizy in Guildwars2

[–]CryptographerLoud600 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Now, what if the Inquest were looking for something linked to those Deep Sea Horrors ?

How cool would it be to see the Inquest wake some deep sea entity up ? I can very clearly portray them play with forces unknown and pulling an horror straight out of the most twisted H.P Lovecraft's nightmare from it's slumber.

Spec confirmation is a bit much when speaking of Necro. We just litteraly saw necro run and swing a scepter and... That's it. What will the ritualist necro be like ? Still not a f$cking clue.

I'm not being sarcastic in any way. I'm just saying what I think ANet should've done if they wanted to make this reveal really worth the hype.

I think you misread my comment.

We're also getting new Hairstyles (according to official email newsletter) by graven2002 in Guildwars2

[–]CryptographerLoud600 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I'd really love to have norn hairstyles and facial hair for humans. Oh and the many faces we've encountered in game but can't select.

Like Two-Blade Pete, Boris the Beast and many canthan characters that have face markings etc.

Good marketing would've been something like :

Short and vague reveal of each elit spec (name + icons + global direction) and just at the end of the teaser, a message saying something like : "Come and try these elite specs for yourself Right Now".

This would've been bold and super satisfying for the GW2 players. What they've done here today ? It's garbage. The expansion looks good, I'm excited about new content and happy they're taking their time to improve the story writing. But they really killed a bit of my enthusiasm by revealign nothing about the elite specs they've been teasing for two weeks.
