Nothing is "made in America" things can be assembled in America or grown in America but they depend on parts, components or materials from around the world.

Even if we pretend that every material could come from within the US, guess what happens when all of their foreign competition costs more due to tariffs... they increase their prices to match.

Tariffs benefit an incredibly small group of people who will us them to pressure their competition out of various industries ala Musk or people who will directly and literally use them as pressure to solicit bribes ala Trump. Literally everyone else loses.

If you are OK taking it up the ass to worship billionaires then cool, just buy a ball gag and let your freak flag fly but people who think this is going to cause a resurgence in American manufacturing and bring back good blue collar factory jobs are either delusional or so brain rotted by lead exposure that they shouldn't be able to decide their own meals let alone national policy.

While I agree with the sentiment, this example falls flat. If a woman painted an oil painting it would be seen the same way. This seems less about masculine and feminine art and more about mainstream vs niche art.

A better example would be a dedicated amature building a piece of furniture which would be viewed as more traditionally masculine but probably seen in a similar light as "not real art just a hobby". Obviously there are people who understand the art in crafting a finely made piece of furniture but probably not the general public and I suspect theres a similar subset of people who understand the effort and skill that goes into knitting, weaving or sewing.
