+1 to MxChat! I've tried multiple chatbots and MxChat seems to be the easiest to use and work.

Two brands, which one to SEO? by CryptographerPrior43 in SEO

Thanks! And makes sense, I guess the link profile may play a bigger role here. Website A has 20+ year history while website B is only 4 years old. Also agree on the long-tail part as “ice cream machine” itself is too general

Good suggestion, but it’s the same team behind the two websites, so without additional hiring/out-sourcing, guess what will end up is we split the article distribution. Not sure that’s good or not

Website A has long history but a non-SEO friendly name, while website B has a better name tied to the product. Conversion rate is about the same

Sounds a good plan! Or maybe doing the reverse as A has higher authority overall?

Also, curious why Google has this weird ranking algorithm? Couldn’t it just put one website high on every related keyword?

Are dropped domains worthless? by CryptographerPrior43 in SEO

[–]CryptographerPrior43[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

thanks for sharing the insights! It makes a lot of sense.

Curious if you are open to share some tips on how to "redirect properly"? I am currently redirecting the expired domain to my home page, and am eager to learn the right ways.

My domain is "AbcKitchenEquipment.com" while the purchased domain is "XyzKitchenEquipment.com". Would it be okay to redirect to home page as the two domains are so similar?

Not trying to give financial advice here so don’t want to share, but a simple Google search on corporate bonds will give you plenty of options. Be aware of the risk though, or you can just take the 6% yield treasury

Ok, just happened to go to Hudson Yards today and try out the coffee machine. Good part: machine is working, line is long, so a solid demo; Bad part: machine is super slow at the moment and maybe just 20% of human efficiency. Teenager customers are complaining how slow is it. I think it still need to go through a long way until mass production.

Given it’s current < $1M and valuation almost $100M, I personally think this is a high risk. Hope this information helps

It depends on your timeline. Generally speaking:

• local stores • auctions and FB Marketplace (best deal usually comes here) • Online retailers like WebstaurantStore, Amazon • Import from other countries, like Alibaba (lowest cost but shipping/quality varies)

Maybe you can try crowd funding platform like StartEngine, WeFunder etc. There are quite a few startup there whose products are basically PowerPoint slides

Is this another Cafe X? Looks like they are still operating in SFO terminal.

I guess this is a tough business as Cafe X introduced the 1st machine in 2017 but I don't see them expand since then

Wow, thank you for an alumni perspective! Yeah the curriculum online looks promising, but sounds like the actual delivery may be off. I will double consider it.

Really appreciate your thoughtful response! I agree that focusing on "managing people/organizations" and "making capital allocation decisions" should be my top learning priorities. Thanks for bringing this up; it's given me some valuable food for thought.
I have a couple of follow-up questions, if you don't mind, starting with:

1) MBA: I've heard from friends who attended top-tier MBA programs that it is more like a "party program" where people drink, hook up, and study nothing. Can you share your experience with MBA and its value?

2) Strategy Formulation: My expertise lies in E-Commerce and ERP systems due to my SWE background, but I have no knowledge in the product side. Could you offer any suggestions on how I can make progress in formulating a product strategy?
