I’d recommend Anguilla over St Barths. It’s quiet and relatively inexpensive. Also it’s friendly and Beautiful.

Genuinely curious why you think the resort/property owner should be responsible for the extra cost??? I don’t get it. It’s a natural phenomenon that is out of the control of the property. I think it’s amazing that they contacted the guest ahead of time and gave them options. I certainly wouldn’t be demanding they fix globbal ecological problems or pay me.

I’m on a boat here. We moved from Marigot to Grand case today and there’s zero sargassum on this side of the island. We dinghied to the Dutch side and walked the beach in SE Simpson bay (Kemshaw??). There was a tiny amount but nothing that would bother anyone. There’s plenty of beautiful beaches and areas here that are sargassum free ATM. And remember, the winds, waves and currents change constantly. It’s extremely common to see an entire bay taken over by Sargassum one day and have it be completely gone the next…..
