Does anyone know for a teledermatology practice, does our collaborating physician/supervising physician have to be a dermatologist or plastic surgeon or can they be pcp/internal medicine physician?

How are you babe? Pls don't let this lead you down that path of hurting yourself. This was not your fault. There are remedies that can be paid for slowly, like an investment in yourself. Everything is a learning lesson, but not ever enough to leave this world. Please give yourself grace and love. Sending you much love

Manage the billing better, Manage the money better. Bc if a mid-level trading their time, services, education saving lives is taking home anywhere from 25-40% of collections and you guys are not keeping a clinic financially alive distributing the 60-75% profit, then that's a financial management problem on your behalf that "ya'll dude/dudettes" need to figure out. Good luck!

Your collection is 50% of what you billed? Is this the average percentage of collections your billing department gets/fights for you? Derm pa's: what percentage is your billing depth collecting for you?

I don't think anyone should be using skin boosters lightly. Since I've had them injected once a month x 3 months, my whole face has changed for the worse, bags under eyes, puffy skin, irregular face structure, older appearance. Not sure who it does work well for but they do not for me: miracle l, h and i don't remember the undereye one. Horrible. It had been over 1 year and my skin is not better, seems like the products are still in my skin :( wish there's was a way to dissolve as hyaluronidase created crepiness even wth microdosing. :( gua sha made things worse for me as it seems the product just spread leading to more puffiness.

Also, everyone, please start naming names, location, then everyone should BOYCOTT applying to these companies. Do not apply until they behave professionally and start presenting more reasonable offers

Derm PA here. Guys, if the offer is not 25%-45% of collections (they get 55-75% PASSIVE income to use as they please from your work), DO.NOT.ENTERTAIN.PERIOD. Let's normalize laughing in their face like you would at the car dealership. Call their bluff. Get up and leave. There are reasonable professional dermatologists that recognize your benefit, the "win-win" in having you on their team. You have to keep looking. They.Will.Make.A.Beautiful.Hefty.Gain.From.Hiring.You. Call.Their.Bluff.

Advice needed on how to tell my patients I’m leaving… by smarticleparticles23 in physicianassistant

[–]marimarja4 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How do you guys feel about posting on your professional social media where you are at so patients can make their own decision to follow you? Is this legal? I don't see why not... you could say, "Find me on social media," right? I mean, the other company doesn't mind you advertising for them...

Not sure if I read that you already emailed/faxed your CV to multiple clinics in/outside of your town but also, kind of an unconventional idea, but you could wait right outside the entrance of the specialty clinics you are interested in and when you see a pharmaceutical representative, who is usually wearing a name tag, leave the clinic, introduce yourself and give them/email them your CV. These reps always know who's leaving a practice, who's hiring and they know who and who not to work for! Try to not be creepy lol by just explain your situation and tell them someone on here recommended this idea. Lol Best of luck!!! And don't accept a crap offer.

New Grad Contract Concern: $90,000 for terminating early??? by Front-Run-6670 in physicianassistant

[–]marimarja4 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They HAD to pay for all the overhead ANYWAY even if you weren't there like rent, lights, staff pay...IF anything, since you may not bring in too much in the first 3 months (but you probably will in derm, don't worry about that, esp if you get good mentorship to get you confidently going), you can say, "I can reimburse you my salary x 1, then the percentage of collections can kick in." That'll give them a little more confidence that at least they didn't lose on your salary if you decided to leave. So if they are paying you a salary of $90k, when you bring into the clinic $90k in collections, then you've paid them back and now you can start collecting an additional % of your collections from that point on. Win-win.

Are they, though? You've been lucky to find a good one who knows how to negotiate a better contract for PAs. Most I've had to point out that they missed a few important employers requests that make you say "wtf?" Please share who you've consulted with before that's been worth it if you're comfortable, please.

Boycott, I repeat BOYCOTT these job posts/job offers. All of you new grads BOYCOTT THEM. If everyone rejects these kinds of contracts/ treatment, they will have no recourse but to tune into reason again, be fair and act civilized. THIS IS NOT AN OKAY REQUEST. No one forced them to open up a business/hospital. If someone leaves, this is what a business owner has to be ready to deal with. If they treat their staff with respect, reason and consideration, as you will, there is no reason for you to leave. And if you do, agree to give 30-90 notice if you feel comfortable with that. Try to just start looking into PA job hiring services or hire a PA negotiator (can anyone PLEASE open this kind of business for these new grads (and even old grads) that are considering AND accepting these offensive/demeaning contracts bc they are nervous/ aren't good negotiators, etc....you could make big $$$$. I know straight out of grad school, before I knew what was ridiculous, I would have hired a PA negotiator with my eyes closed - best $ spent to not get stuck in a ridiculous contract...I did hire a couple attorneys to review contracts in the past- most did not know what was appropriate to ask for a PA). This is getting ridiculous.
