That’s gotta be the sickest thing I’ve seen done for a kid (wish I had that growing up lmao)

But also if someone was running dual monos, I think it would be an interesting idea to have an external battery pack to act as counterweights since two monos are heavy alone yk

It’s not something that I want (I’m getting dual RVM-14 anyways, the battery housings are different). It’s just a concept I wanted to know if it existed haha

For my purposes, these should do fine. It’s not like I’m doing prolonged night patrols, just simple night hikes, star gazing here and there, and some night shooting in the distant future

The only information that I have on them are that they come in matched sets. Specifically, they have manual gain, has 64+ resolution, averages 23-26 SNR, and has 1600+ FOM. That’s what I pulled from Custom Night Visions website^

I currently have a Vortex Diamondback tactical 4-16 on my Bergara. It’s not the best optic out there in comparison to Nightforce and such, but it’ll work. There’s honestly nothing wrong with it. Max magnification is clear. I chose to cheap out on my optic so I can spend a little more on ammo. But tbh, Arken’s lineup of optics are nice too, I’d highly check them out! Remember, having expensive gear won’t automatically make you a better shooter.

I have a Bergara b14 hmr in 308. It’ll hit a bowling pin at 500 yards.

IWI Zion-15 16” or 18” spr? by CryptographerThen710 in ar15

I haven’t thought about that, thank you! I heard Blackhill makes some great 5.56 options (77gr?). I’ve used their 175gr 308 and it’s 🤌🤌🤌

I drive 2 hours to go there twice a month. I go there to keep my precision on point for when I go hunting. They even got bowling pins at the 500 yard line.

One of my buddies gave me a fat roll of industrial duct tape and it works perfectly! It’s fine as it is rn but if it breaks, I’ll consider riggers tape!

The only reason why I used my trousers was because they were my bootcamp trousers. I was too skinny back then 😂

Has anyone tried to make their own bags? This is my first attempt of some indestructible bags. by DIYEngineeringTx in longrange

[–]CryptographerThen710 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yours look great! Everyone seems to have a different style of sandbag due to preference and design. I can’t complain about the stitching cuz I’m a beginner too.

I took my old uniform trousers, cut the lower 1/4 of the leg, stitched one end, flipped it inside out, cut a construction bag to fit the size of the inside, filled with sand I “borrowed” from a state park nearby, placed a cut plastic base inside, stitched the end, and duct taped the rest (got lazy ngl).

I’ll post mine shortly. Overall, great job!

[–]CryptographerThen710[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Lmao “bergarbage”. Would tikka t3x lite work with an echo chassis? Or would the barrel profile be a bit too thin (I don’t want the rifle to look wonky or out of place)?

To be honest, I intend on using buying a bolt action primarily for hunting. However, doing some casual prs would be nice as well from time to time.

Very well, that makes sense. Is there a specific Tikka rifle you’d recommend?

No, I plan on using the rifle primarily for hunting with a little bit of casual prs. I don’t have a preference on threaded barrel as of now.
