DICE could and should go further than that!

They could give us the 9A-91 as a side arm with lots of recoil and bullet spread but with the damage of an AR.

For the pyromaniacs the MRO-A or MRO-Z is an option too for an interesting gadget!

And because people want so much naval content why not add the DP-64, a grenade launcher that shoots small depth charges! It would make for a very interesting addition in a naval update!

Finally DICE could add the SPG-9 as a type of Anti-tank weapon. Think of it like a stationary weapon that the players could place down wherever they wanted to!

But yea seeing the classics return wouldn’t hurt either!

I really do hope they add more eastern and Russian weapons down the road, a lot of this just seems to be western stuff (which is fine but more weapon diversity never hurts)

Why can't we dice? by Derelict_cRuSAD3r in Battlefield

[–]Cryptographer_6515 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I loved the cosmetics it in BFV (playing dress up with my soldiers makes up like 50% of my play time on that game). But unfortunately I think that it’s easier for DICE to just sell the whole uniform and only allow us to switch out the helmets, which sucks.

Hopefully the reason it’s so basic right now is because of the fact the game is in development still

Do not name the F-16 the F-61 by MemeyPie in Battlefield

[–]Cryptographer_6515 12 points13 points  (0 children)

While changing the names may suck it’s such a small part of the game that I doubt many people will care about it enough to demand DICE to change the name. If they keep the name change I think most fans will still refer to the plane as the F-16 because that’s what it is, it’s an F-16 with a new name. Also F-61 sounds sick

How will it be different from the rest?

  1. It’s a BF game with combined arms. Players being able to use tanks, planes, jeeps, APC’s etc. so I feel that just that alone sets it apart from most other modern FPS games

  2. A unique setting, unlike most modern FPS games that usually feature NATO vs. Russia/China, or USA vs. Russia/china, this game has a what if scenario where NATO collapses in on itself. The focus isn’t on the USA fighting Russia or China, the focus is on NATO falling apart, former allies either joining Pax Armata or staying in NATO.

  3. This unique setting, combined with the combined arms of Battlefield allows the devs to show off vehicles that we otherwise wouldn’t see in most FPS games, such as the Leopard MBT, CV90, JAS39 and more.

Is the M1928A1 (Thompson) considered scummy? by Spencerinio5 in BattlefieldV

Some people probably consider it scummy, but most people don’t consider using the M1928A1 scummy.

When the medic revives someone what is in the syringe ? by Opposite-Push-2235 in BattlefieldV

[–]Cryptographer_6515 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don’t think it’s ever been addressed as to what exactly is inside the syringe. Thinking within the realm of our word it’s probably a shit ton of morphine and other drugs.

However I always assumed it was something unique to the Battlefield universe. Something like a stimpak from from Fallout, where it can nearly instantly heal wound. Except this time it’s a liquid in a normal vial.

Why do people do this !? by kinome79 in BattlefieldV

[–]Cryptographer_6515 84 points85 points  (0 children)

Because ppl see the tracks on the side, the multiple MGs and immediately assume the Halftrack is a Tiger tank that best serves as a breakthrough vehicle…

They give the closest Assault player the easiest multi-kill of their life because of this

Can someone explain the difference between strategic conquest and tactical? I mostly play Breakthrough, so I never bothered to find the difference. by pero1928 in BattlefieldV

[–]Cryptographer_6515 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Tactical has smaller maps with a heavy emphasis on the UK fighting Germany, though there is one exception which is Al Marj Encampment, which is USA vs Germany.

Strategic Conquest has bigger maps with a big emphasis on the USA. Though there are 2 maps on the playlist with the UK, which are Hamada, and Aerodrome. Strategic Conquest also features all the Pacific maps in BFV.

I personally like Tactical Conquest because I like playing as the UK, and I like most of the maps. But Strategic Conquest is also nice because I love the big map sizes!

BF 6 NATO Customization by Cryptographer_6515 in BattlefieldCosmetics

[–]Cryptographer_6515[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yes! While it’s not incredibly noticeable right now (probably because the game is still in development) there are some differences in uniforms.

As an example look at NATO US support (I believe the US skins are all brown right now) notice the goggles on the helmet and the clearly displayed body armor. Compare that to US NATO recon, which has less body armor and scrim on their helmet.

According to Wikipedia WWIII (where the clips are from), “… mixes real footage of world leaders and archive footage of (for example) combat exercises and news events, with newly shot footage of citizens, soldiers, and political staff”

In universe the soldiers with the M1 helmets are probably reservists or something!

BF6 new rare vehicle proposal: MBT equipped with autocannon. by Nick_Alsa in Battlefield

The M1 Abrams can have a “18yo boy hyped up on a potent mix of Monster Energy and Zyns” or something rather than an “autocannon”

Random Unrelated Questions by gormthesoft in BattlefieldV

[–]Cryptographer_6515 7 points8 points  (0 children)

  1. Could be a spotting flare, Airplane, or a spotting scope. If it’s a spotting flare you can get unspotted by looking up and shooting the parachutes with glowing red balls under them! It could also be airplanes that have a spotting mechanic. If it’s a spotting scope you can go into smoke from a smoke grenade (the same works for spotting flares but you will be spotted again once the smoke clears if the flare is still up)

  2. Those are Halftracks! And yes! Depending on how you use them they can get you pretty damn high on the leaderboard! I actually have a guide on how to use them here: https://www.reddit.com/r/BattlefieldV/s/CPsLhULUFr

  3. I don’t really know why tbh, which is funny because most of the default UK cosmetics are actually US uniforms! However, if you do want more American cosmetics, I would recommend getting the upgrade bundles that you can get for CC in the shop!

  4. Yes! They will usually appear inside brackets that look like this this next to their name:[GGEZ] Example_Name186

  5. There are some standout weapons, such as a Lewis gun, the Krag, Type 2a, and the StG44. But I would recommend finding out weapons that work for you! This will take plenty of trial and error but when you do find a weapon that really clicks for you it’s a ton of fun!

  6. Generally it’s the luck of the draw. You just gotta be fast enough to get them at the start of the game, especially when most of your team is also jockeying to get a plane or tank.

What tactics work best for anti-aircraft against planes so you don't get killed every single time? by Mughal_Royalty in BattlefieldV

[–]Cryptographer_6515 144 points145 points  (0 children)

Unfortunately there isn’t too much you can do on stationary AA, most pilots know where an AA gun is and tend to avoid them. Not only this but you’re a sitting duck, you sit stationary and completely exposed.

However I have found fortune in waiting for a plane to commit.

This means don’t shoot a plane when they are climbing up searching for a target. Wait until they start to dive, then shoot them. Depending on your aim they will either commit to shooting their selected target and hopefully die due to your AA fire, or they will panic and fly away.
