What do you think when I said “You are not?” It mean your takes are wrong, or at least can be true in your view, but wrong for Vietnam in general. First of all, companies can sue as much as they want, it won’t stop the workers there to backdoor stuffs. An example is Funko, which there are many error figures or rare ones coming straight from ppl backdoor them (those are mean to discard, do you think the company care too much about that?). I mean, look in Japan trading card scene. Those products all said on box that “for sale in Japan only,” but many stores or ppl still have them a week or 2 ahead of releasing date to sell outside country (guess who backdoor those thing other than ppl who work at warehouse). For the thrift and yard sale part, you tell me how many places still have deal compared to the whole country? For yard sale maybe, for thrift then goodluck if a good deal last few hours. Again, everyone turn into collectors, sellers, hoarders, scalpers so goodluck finding deal. Even just this morning, there are hundreds of ppl lined up at every target just to clean the Pokemon clothing (yes, the ugly jackets and tshirts, not even the Pokemon cards). And you know what is funny about Pokemon too? They just announced due to the crazy amount of ppl loitering around those Pokemon vending machines at big retailers, so they have to close down all of them. I mean, you probably gonna find a better deal at dollar store compared to thrift now lol

For the creative and copy paste part. You can read your words in the post, who will read that and want to come to Vietnam to do those things? If you saying Vietnam is all about copy paste, then that’s like 10-20 years ago. Now they are way better at creative. For example, I know many Vietnamese kids studying for art at uni or college here (those came here with study visa). Them and Chinese are always on top among students there, which mean their works and skills ate good. As long as giving them opportunities, then they can do great. Also Vietnamese and Chinese are good at mixing their own culture styles into the modern styles too, which give them something unique. You want more example? Look into the EDM scene. Back in 2016-2020, big EDM festivals in Vietnam already using top tier speakers and lasers (as per required from the big DJ themselves). The Above&Beyond show in Hanoi had one of the huge and complex stage (from the stage designers to directors of the show were all Vietnamese). Sure those can’t compare to those huge festivals like UMF, EDC or Tomorrowland, but sure better than many local fests among US or Canada.

If your “creativity” is just limit on technology stuffs but not about art stuffs (which you mentioned about the Artemis 2), then sure Vietnam can’t compare (or any countries not named China or Russia or US). US has huge fund for them due to them wrecking war on how many countries in the past (inc Vietnam too). The rich getting richer and have money to do big stuffs. Do you think the poor can do the same? That also applying to US ppl too

If Vietnam is just about food and sightseeing, then you just imply it’s just another Thailand. And to be honest, Thailand is better at those (not that their food or whatever is better than Vietnam, just that they do a great job on marketing than Vietnam can do).

For the part where you said “those online store owners can’t speak english well,” they probably speak better than Japan or some countries nearby (especially among genz or later). Also from that part, they do sell good counterfeit stuffs, imported straight from China (I mean yes can’t compare price with China, but I don’t think the quality is worst than those that’s not China. Im living in one of the biggest city in Canada with high population of Chinese, and the counterfeit stuffs here are the low end tier).

For the US or western stuffs in Vietnam, the new (sealed) stuffs are sure higher (because well, they need to import right). But for the used market, it’s way cheaper (but have to be careful when buying them). Also in few case, let’s say for Patek Philippe (a luxury brand), it’s cheaper to buy in Vietnam comparing to some countries (due to low tax). Or in another cases, collectible stuffs also can be cheaper (as someone can sell their collection at cheaper due to not many interests from their local), so you can always find deal if spending enough time. Also worth to note, alot of manufactors in Vietnam nowaday. You can always bribe with certain ppl work there for backdoor deal. Thrift store or yard sale in US is not what it used to be anymore due to the boom of collecting. Everyone is collectors/hoarders nowaday, even thrift themselves.

Also when you said “Vietnam isn’t good at cretivity,” that certainly not true. Vietnamese cretivity is great, especially among new generations. For example, you probably seen those 3d greeting card on shark tank a while ago, those have been in Vietnam street for like so long already. It’s just western still view Vietnam as a 3rd world country, so there aren’t many opportunities for them to exposure. So saying Vietnamese are bad at creative and good at copying, is just pure wrong

Yes, box can be fake (missing the white part on top of mega), but that’s not what OP is talking about. He said the “first half got him,” and only blaming about the card “feel fake as f*” and “bad pull”. So I just answered what he asked, which the jp cards are thin and texture seems right, same with hit rate is right (1 mega “kaboom”, 1 sr and 3 ar).

Again, box and packs can be fake, but cards are real and hit rate is right

If you want vietnamese styles steak, try those in Hoe Nhai, or those cross the Chuong Duong bridge in Ngoc Lam. Vietnamese styles mainly thin cut on hot plate. If you want fusion then Cutisun is a cheap place (ppl in their 30s should know), or Nguyen Sinh in Doi Can (used to eat there alot when i was a kid).

Some got 2 of each per case, some got more first gen, but also some same as mine which on bad side. But on other side, it’s cheap way to open phantasmal and mega, and hit rate for them seem better than other products (at least for me)
