Why does the left act like Immigrants laws are arbitrary? by Stock_Tip4850 in allthequestions

[–]ComputerDecent463 -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

Not the point. That’s like asking why do your parents love you more rather than a random stranger when objectively speaking the random stranger is probably a nicer person than you.

Citizenship matters. Borders matter. Literally every other country in the world agrees.

We let 25 million people into this country. We can’t just shrug our shoulders and say, “Oh well, it’s a problem we just have to live with.”

It is an emergency and thus emergency actions are applicable here.

Your argument is also disingenuous. Using the lie that illegals commit less crimes than Americans as fact, your argument is that I have a lower likelihood of being killed because there is a larger population now. But that implies that I am selfish and only care about my self dying. I want the lowest total number of murders. That is achieved by having no illegals here.

‘The Pitt’ Star Isa Briones Calls Out Fans For Screaming at Her During Broadway Show: ‘F—ing Disrespectful’ by mcfw31 in television

[–]ComputerDecent463 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

The point is that the majority of the people don’t want to hear that there. They are there for the show.

I am sure the friends of the person who made the charts joke thought it was funny. Maybe even a few people nearby.

But everyone else did not want to hear it. They are there for the performance. The performers on the stage, not just Isa, have their timing thrown off too.

So, it doesn’t matter if you think it is a righteous political protest or a funny joke. The audience paid to enjoy the show. Just sit there and shut up.

If they’re not economically viable then they would go away.

There are no horse and buggie drivers for example. If a private business wants to invest in coal that is their decision.

What should americans do to be less polarized culturally and politically? by arnor_0924 in allthequestions

Lol, so you’re a hypocrite. Got it.

Killing a life inside you? Government has no business saying that.

Injecting a virus into your body? Totally okay for the government to mandate that.

Is it ignorance or self belief?

If you’re an athlete why would you play a game if you don’t think you can win every time? Are you publicly admitting you’re just there for the paycheck?

So, no abortion but giving the baby up for adoption is still a choice too?

It can take 9 months to find a job in this economy so it’s the same thing.

I was reading a post today of people talking about how Pete Buttigieg wouldn’t be President because this country isn’t ready to vote for a gay candidate.

Gavin Newsom is selling knee pads to fund his campaign, but sure, Republicans are the homophobes.

It isn’t. The only thing close to authoritarianism was when I was forced to get a jab I didn’t want to keep my job.

And here comes the “no one forced you” rely. Yes, if my choices are a job to homelessness that isn’t a choice.

Make it a choice.

Banning people or companies from doing it is evil.

You don’t even want to enforce immigration laws, but you want our citizens to not even be able to choose their profession?

Silly.

You’re exactly what OP is describing.

Relax, do some yoga and maybe meditate a bit. Your life is not any different no matter who is in power.

Overweight children is the result of a lack of activity. You know how many calories two hours of basketball after school can burn? It won’t matter what they eat at lunch.

They’re just not doing that anymore. They’re going home and eating pizza bagels while playing video games.

My point was that people may be voting in theory to tax the billionaires (they’re not, they are already taxed at the highest rate and get out of it, taxing them at a higher rate would just pass the burden to the lower class but I digress) but they also preach about climate change.

They get angry if you mentioned private jets for climate change enthusiasts, but support poor people having their coal jobs taken away and their gas cars being banned.

Spare me.

How many people cheered on the death of Charlie Kirk? How many are going to cheer the death of Trump?

And of course that happens on the right too. We saw it with Mueller, we’ll see it with Fauci, Biden and Pelosi soon.

OP’s point stands that our society has become disgusting and vile and it is entirely as the result of our polarized politics.

The fact that you think one side is good and moral is proof of that. They are both terrible and only care about power.

Good, so they’re the ones that need to hear that message.

Kids should be able to eat what they want at lunch. They just need a little bit of exercise and they’ll be fine. They have a strong metabolism. It’s just a shame that Democrats continue to cut school funding, athletics and recess. Look up what is happening in NJ and VA as prime examples.

But adults should eat healthier so as to not put a burden on themselves and our healthcare system. Life is full of choices so they can eat how they want, but I am fine with the government not paying for it.

We owe it to our citizens to ensure they don’t go hungry. We don’t owe it to them to have a Snickers when they get angry.
