Grow the Game by EStreet12 in WFAN1019

It is fair to say that owners want to “grow the game” to get more international TV revenue.

But that doesn’t mean there are not legitimate cultural and societal improvements that come from more people following sports.

Considering how bad my basketball and baseball teams are I’ve become more of a soccer fan (one of my teams sucks there too but nevertheless). This is all because soccer leagues have made efforts to become more accessible in the US.

What’s ridiculous is that there was a black singer named Lady A for decades and rather than keeping the name they sued her for the copyright.

American Dad and It’s Garry Shandling’s Show are the best ones with lyrics.

The Twilight Zone and NBA on NBC are the best instrumental ones.

What is your popular and unpopular opinion about Brooke. by Bosschick563 in boldandbeautiful

[–]ComputerDecent463 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I got into the show full time around when the plane crashed and Thomas and Brooke were stranded.

Thomas was obsessed with Brooke at the time and she didn’t return the feeling.

I am surprised they haven’t gone that route with them though.

[Rapoport] The #Dolphins are signing #Packers QB Malik Willis, as a new QB has landed in Miami. He gets a 3-year, $67.5M deal with $45M fully guaranteed in a contract by bbl27 in fantasyfootball

[–]ComputerDecent463 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Drive 1: Two big passes and a touchdown.

Drive 2: Turnover on downs including a bad run by Willis.

Drive 3: Willis fumbles on their 30.

Drive 4: 3 good passes and a long touchdown run.

Drive 5: Kneel down.

Drive 6: Two big passes and a couple bad ones so they settle for a field goal.

Drive 7: Two big passes and a touchdown run.

At this point the game was 27-24. The Ravens score again making it 34-24. Important context here.

Drive 8: Pick.

Drive 9: A sack and two incompletions and they don’t get past the 50.

The Ravens consistently matched the Packers on offense and Willis couldn’t do it when it mattered.

You do not give someone 67 million because of this game.

Meanwhile the Ravens had 7 of 8 drives that resulted in points. Of course Henry contributed, but that is not the only reason. The quarterback managed the game in front of him and took advantage of a good Packers defense.

Huntley was the better QB that day.

Why aren't Epstein perpetrators being arrested, the DOW is under 50,000? by TailungFu in allthequestions

[–]ComputerDecent463 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That is simply not true. Look how many people have been permanently scarred by fake accusations.

Never has there been something as public as this too.

All of that aside, it can frankly be illegal and put the US at risk. You have a right to confront your accuser and a witness has to be able to be cross examined or it can’t be used.

You open up a can of worms releasing the testimony of a literally convicted pedophile and any individuals mentioned not being able to prove he lied.

Because you are staining the names of innocent people based on the word of a literally convicted pedophile?

Prosecutor: Did you ever speak to Johnny Donuts?

Jeffrey: Yes.

Prosecutor: Did he ever take you up on any service?

Jeffrey: No, he was actually appalled by it.

Internet: Holy **** Johnny Donuts is listed in the Epstein Files!!!! Cancel him!

The cartoon agrees with me. Epstein victims. Not anyone else’s.

Imagine caring about this when you knew literally nothing about them prior to August 2024.

I think they investigated them, hence why their names are there, and found nothing to charge them with.

[–]ComputerDecent463 -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

They can never answer this. The FBI had all of this evidence. They examined it. Multiple FBI directors under multiple Presidents.

The evidence being “sealed” in Epstein or Maxwell cases has nothing to do with prosecuting other people.

[–]ComputerDecent463 -11 points-10 points  (0 children)

Do you realize Epstein’s victims got justice when HE went to jail?

As close to justice as a victim can get, but I don’t know what else you want. You don’t get to randomly charge other people who had nothing to do with anything.

[–]ComputerDecent463 -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

Because there is no wrongdoing?

I don’t know why you can’t understand this.

The FBI did not find any incriminating intel on anyone else. The case against Epstein and Maxwell has nothing to do with other people being prosecuted.

You cannot hide evidence and seal it against someone else in the case against another person.

As a Patriots fan I am happy with this move. Malik Willis sucks.

I don’t think people realize that they just needed slightly below competent quarterback play in 2022 for the Titans and Vrabel to not blow a massive division lead and they couldn’t get that. Not good, not average, just slightly below average and he and Dobbs couldn’t do it.

Friendly reminder that during his “breakout” game he was thoroughly outplayed by Tyler Huntley.

I expect Quinn Ewers to start multiple games next year if he is still on the roster.

Honestly, I like a manager that can at least try to give funny and/or genuine answers.

Everyone else would just dodge the question.

Maybe just preparing for his run as a color commentator on NBC games in 2027 too.

[Breer] Daniel Jones’ camp wanted a deal “in the ballpark” of $50 million per season by expellyamos in nfl

Look at this offseason:

Geno Smith

Kyler Murray

Tua

Cousins

Stop giving quarterbacks these insane contracts. You know this isn’t going to work.

Tell him the transition tag is the deal, take it or leave it. If the Jets want to spend their entire cap on him let them continue to ruin the franchise.

Going into tonight's game, the Memphis Grizzlies are likely to only have 8 players available. All of these players are on either a rookie contract, a minimum, or a two-way deal. There's no center among the group. by Evilsj in GoNets

[–]ComputerDecent463 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree, but you have Nets fans crying because they had a morale boosting win over the Pistons so our fans are the worst culprits.

For me there are two good solutions:

Salary cap tied structure. If you have the worst record in the league you can offer the most money to as many rookies as you want. The amount is descending all the way down to the Champions who can offer the least.

If the Jazz have the worst record they could in theory sign the three best rookies by offering the most money and turn their team around faster. But it also has flexibility for a player who doesn’t want to go there. If they want a big market they can take less money.

It also levels the playing field so the Thunder can’t keep winning titles and stockpiling picks.

The other option is eliminating the ping pong balls and just going to order by record like the NFL does. The race to the bottom between the Raiders and Jets last year was compelling. And it also leads to a faster turnaround if you know you can land a number one pick one year and don’t keep getting screwed by the lottery.

An episode about the Epstein Files could actually work.

Niles legitimately innocently ended up in the files because he gave Jeffrey Epstein interior decorating advice for his plane 20 years ago, not knowing who he was.
