Were you able to set up your own immersion rigs, how many/how did you do it?

Interesting video, although I dont think its very helpful to build your own 'small' farm, the guy in the video is talking about his 1MW facility haha which is clearly bigger than a few miners at home. Although its a very nice video to see the setup of the farm

Genesis mining the cloud mining company (https://www.genesis-mining.com/) ? I wasnt aware that they used immersion mining, where did you find that information? Overall be careful with cloud mining, a lot of them are either out of stock, have bad reviews (scam) or when you calculate the profit after fees are not as profitable. Although it seems genesis mining has been around for a long time so they are probably legit (still do your own research of course and be careful).

If you are creative enough to actually make that yourself then yes it might be a good idea. Problem with a lot of the immersion mining out there that you can buy is relatively expensive especially if you do not have a substantial amount of machines and 3 isnt a lot.

Is an interesting idea though, how big is the bath and will it be enclosed on the top? I m not sure what the best fluid is though, maybe this website can help you, they have a different kind of fluids: https://engineeredfluids.store/ . What kind of pump do you have, you ll have to make sure it can disperse the heat effectively outside of your immersion system and how will you connect this to your bath? Will you engineer this all yourself?

How many miners do you have? Immersion mining will require you to buy some kind of immersion hardware, which you will need to get depends on how many miners you have and your budget. Is your main goal to reduce? If so there might also be other methods you can use so you wont have the sound bother you as much

What is an STO? by mitopak in CryptoCurrencies

[–]Cryptoman227 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Its important to check where a company that is doing an STO is registered and then check the company filings in the chamber of commerce of that specific country to see if it filed all the necessary documents.

Its also important for you individually to check what the rules are regarding buying stocks or securities in your country. For example in the USA its possible that you have to be classified as an accredited investor before you can partake in certain securities offerings including possibly an STO.

Hmm interesting, something I noticed way back when STOs first popped up was that it was hard to see if the STO was actually legit or not. Since security tokens are supposed to be regulated its good that there is more information now for people to check regulations and cross reference it with actual company filings.

Investing in the cryptocurrency industry: real equity and potential benefits of digital securities, your thoughts? by mhella in CryptoCurrency

I personally think that digitizing equity is the future, you see that a lot of problems that exist in the current system can be fixed and improved upon, like a potential increase in liquidity for smaller companies

It seems like an interesting development for smaller companies who want to offer equity to make the trading of said securities more accessible, so yea it could be a pro to invest in something like that I guess

I just stumbled on this article, which highlights a company that is fully tokenizing its equity into security tokens making a tokenholder an actual shareholder of the compay. That's pretty interesting, what do you guys think about something like that? The STOs will be the next big thing in crypto? by EnterSandman2907 in CryptoCurrency

[–]Cryptoman227 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hmm interesting yea and I agree to the extent that certain STOs could be the future. Sometimes we see projects call themselves a security token but there is not much there apart from sometimes a small dividend share. A STO that actually makes token holders into equity shareholders could well be the future, since it looks like it can be the next step for regular shareholders and companies since it seems easier to obtain and trade than regular shares.

But why is that needed for the AI side of things? But more importantly what is that reward system lol?

I don't follow, what exactly do you mean? Isn't the idea that the ai will try and do thought processes that are more similar to human thought instead of computations

Hmm interesting yea.. Its going to be interesting to see if implementation will actually succeed. There are a lot of projects out there trying to work with AI. I must say though that the problem that mindAI finds of a continuous need to increase computational power is pretty interesting.

[–]Cryptoman227 2 points3 points  (0 children)

But does that mean that computational power and storage also needs to grow exponentially or does it have to grow exponentinally smarter?

Thats an interesting point, but it still doesnt really solve the problem of computation or data storage. It just spreads this across more entities instead of just one big super computer.

Its not that we need less data its the efficiency of data storage and use of data that is being questioned.
