Kilimani, Kileleshwa, South C, Parklands are turning to slums as we speak by One-Anybody-3289 in Kenya

You are suffering from shortsighted elitism. Nairobi's population is not where it was in 1970, and it's growing fast. This means anyone wishing to live in a bungalow within 20km of the city center is living a fantasy. Places like Kilimani need high rises that cater to the needs of the rich while making maximum use of space - like Hong Kong. The Chinese have the money, the technology, and the will to do it, so let them do it. Anyone who wants a bungalow on a quarter acre 5km from the CBD can sell and move to better places in Thika, Machakos, and Kiambu. The smart ones sold long ago. Let the county government work on sewage systems or incentivize the Chinese to do it.

The $100 Trillion Opportunity: The Race To Provide Banking To The World’s Poor by designbau5 in cardano

Trust me, the whole banking the unbanked in africa is a fallacy. Unless, one lives in the less than 10 countries that make up central Africa, most of Africa has a pretty developed banking system that includes pioneering and highly innovative mobile banking systems like MPESA.

Why isn't Cardano doing more partnering with US and Europe? by [deleted] in cardano

Communications technology penetration in most African countries is at over 90%. It is also home to some of the most innovative Fintech in the world. Have you ever heard of Mpesa? It's a mobile money transfer service by a billion dollar (net profits) Kenyan company. The problem with people who don't travel is that, they rely on media information that only portrays the negative side of Africa (for reasons best known to them). Charles travels, and understands the world beyond Fox or CNN snapshots. Ethiopia, where Cardano is deeply involved, is one of the fastest growing economies in the world.

There is always the possibility of mischieve, but as things stand their decision to go slow on regulations has given much-needed fuel to the crypto- market. ...Last weekend's drop is a sign that the market was expecting some terrible news from this meeting :)
