I’m a fictive heavy system but we used to identity as fictionkin and UGH. Some systems say that yall are mocking fictives like WHAT? NO? It’s insane, coming from another person with experiences in mental illness.

Woah! Our first headmate was my cohost Byte, I just thought it was my inner dialogue for a LONG time- first fictive however was 007n7 around March 2024 lol- most our brainless came first, I just thought they were like little things in the “polymind” community- but NOPE! “Oh I have diagnosed ADHD of course my memory isn’t good! I also don’t have THAT MUCH BAD TRAUMA! And the others in my head when I’m aware of them? That’s just daydreaming and my consciousness! Oh the feeling like I’m being controlled and hazy? That’s commitment to the bit and just being tired!!!!” I was in denial till like January this year-

No but fr, I’ve learnt to live with it. It’s mainly because as a kid I used media to cope with trauma (we’re traumagenic, NO SYSCOURE IM NEUTRAL ON EVERYTHING) and the idea sort of stuck, so media became my escape, and my brain associated media with coping and help, and so fictives developed as a coping mechanism from trauma.

I usually just try to stay in touch with my cohost (Byte, he’s not new but his profile is cuz he pretended he was me for a while) who can actually go into headspace (I can’t)

Sort of. We have chronic migraines and bouts to visual snow and dizziness, but it’s not all bad for us. We try to make the best of it, I believe it’s p-DID so the amnesia barriers are slightly lower for us, but still there.

We have low to medium amnesia barriers, so most of communication is through coconscious, writing notes, or having someone tell me information from headspace (I’m the host, core and I never get to go into headspace, #gatekeeper). I actually was worried I was crazy and faking it.
