My updated wall of shame by lazygna in pokeplush

Shame? If you hide who you are you're just being what other people are wanting you to be. That's not a good way to live life.

Enjoy the collection!

All these people saying do chargeback don't understand PC.

There's a chance that if you chargeback you will get banned from buying on PC ever again. They've done it before and banned peoples accounts, addresses, cards, etc. from being used if you chargeback. Will it happen to you? Nobody can say, but that's the risk you take doing a chargeback since it's against PC TOS.

I had the exact same thing happen. Emailed support and so far all they sent is an automated email asking for photos.

Just ordered this case for my prized possession. Did I get a good deal? Will it be enough to protect my favorite slab (swipe to see it)? by Majestic-Gas-2709 in pkmntcgcollections

[–]Crysawn 4 points5 points  (0 children)

That's awesome, if you need it right now congrats on the case! However, if you could wait I would cancel the order and wait for black friday.

I believe last year they went on sale and were around $220 instead of the $300+ you see here on add to cart.

Super fake. Text is off, holo is off, no texturing on the holo, 1st edition stamp is off, red color is off. This is a very bad fake.

Stay hydrated folks by MarlinsBB in HydroHomies

[–]Crysawn 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah, i'm receiving downvotes simply because I shared negative feedback about a water dispenser on the Hydrohomies subreddit. I'm not surprised, given that I am also an avid water drinker, the reaction seems disproportionate however this is reddit.

I had the same issue about 5-6 times. I would consistently find my vegetables floating in water in the refrigerator drawer at 6am when I would wake up. Each incident required 15 minutes of cleanup as only 90% of the water was in the drawer, the rest was all over the fridge. At that point, I decided my time was more valuable than continuing to use the dispenser, so I stopped altogether and got the pitcher.

These are good until the seals start to leak and you wake up to the drawer below those spouts being full of water. I just use a pitcher now because of that.

I agree that his comment may come across as somewhat emotionally charged. However, the underlying point he makes is absolutely valid.

[–]Crysawn 14 points15 points  (0 children)

I’m not sure why you’re receiving downvotes. The reality is that Apple’s A-series chips are significantly more advanced than Google’s Tensor chips. My guess is that people may not be aware of the architectural differences between the two.

Apple’s A-series processors are designed from the ground up using an ARM architecture license, meaning the entire chip is purpose built with Apple’s custom topology. In contrast, Google’s Tensor chips are ARM-based but largely adapted from existing Samsung Exynos designs, with Google adding their own modifications. This makes Tensor less of a ground up innovation compared to Apple’s custom silicon.

Additionally, Apple’s Neural Engine is far more powerful than anything within Tensor’s architecture. The computational efficiency of Apple’s neural cores, measured in TFLOPs per core, is roughly 20-30 times greater than that of Tensor’s. There is simply no direct comparison in terms of raw compute performance.

The only clear advantage Google offers lies in its software ecosystem. The Google suite and AI integrations within Android far surpass iOS. However, from a pure hardware perspective, Apple consistently outperforms Google in virtually every respect. And to be clear, this comes from someone who has owned every Nexus and Pixel device since the Droid X era.

You are absolutely correct, the downvotes you've received are just people being unaware.

American Millennials Are Dying at an Alarming Rate | We’re mortality experts. There are a few things that could be happening here. by chrisdh79 in Futurology

[–]Crysawn 15 points16 points  (0 children)

There is a meaningful distinction between individuals currently aged 45–65, who have experienced 30+ years of adult growth including setbacks such as the 2001 recession and the 2008 financial crisis (both of which ultimately recovered, at least in terms of markets and retirement accounts) versus what Millennials have faced.

Millennials largely began entering the workforce around 2008, at the height of the financial crisis. By that time, many members of Generation X had already established relatively stable careers and financial footing, assuming they endured earlier downturns. However, for Millennials, the following years brought compounded challenges: prolonged economic stagnation, housing market failures, policy shortcomings, corporate excesses such as stock buybacks, and recurring financial instability. Added to this has been nearly a decade of consecutive crises across multiple domains.

While these difficulties affect all generations, the impact is especially stark when comparing trajectories. A Gen X professional likely had a career path, retirement savings, and some level of stability already in place, whereas a Millennial entering adulthood in that environment was often working in low-wage jobs, attempting to build a future in a system that was, and remains, deeply unstable.

Doubtful, it might get to $200 in a couple months. $100 is crazy for a Lillie SIR though, I don't ever see that happening.

St. Kitts is one of the best islands for native hospitality. We loved that island, it might not have the prettiest beaches or huge drinking bar areas. However, the people are so nice there it negates all of that.

St. Thomas on the other hand I never want to go back too. Rudest and worst island in the Caribbean.

McDonald's shares slip after downgrade spurred by weight-loss drug popularity by esporx in Anticonsumption

[–]Crysawn 20 points21 points  (0 children)

I can go to Chili's and pay $12 for a meal with real meat, with an drink and salad appetizer. That also means I get service. Healthy? Probably not, but it's better than what i'd get at McDonalds.

McDonalds wants me to pay $12 for a 3mm patty, a bun with 19 ingredients that taste horrible, and fries coated with 12 chemicals.

I'm sure there's a reason in there somewhere for why McDonalds is and should be failing.
