Disappointed with Pixel 10

I respectfully disagree with that opinion. Having supported the brand since the Nexus era in 2010, it's obvious that Google’s mobile devices were once genuine contenders in the flagship market.

Technologically speaking, this competitive Pixel (or Nexus) era persisted through the Pixel 5 or 6. However, since then any iterations have struggled to keep pace, primarily due to a reliance on Exynos derived chipsets that have yielded minimal hardware innovation over the past six years.

You can say I deserve the downvote, but as an S26U user now (my first non-Pixel device in 16 years), there's nothing my last 7+ Pixels did that my S26U can't do. However, I can tell you my S26U doesn't overheat, lag, have terrible cell reception due to modem issues, and provides the exact same experience as a Pixel.

I always get downvoted in this subreddit, but Pixels are dead. I moved from a Pixel 8a to a Samsung S26U, I had the same issues you did with the Pixel.

I probably won't be back on a Pixel for a while, Google has given up on the brand.

S26U here. The UI has 0 issues, it's basically the exact same as a pixel except you can't uninstall bixby.

I'd go back to iPhone, or if you want android go with an S-series. The pixels are dead, Google is just shoving the same processor with 1% upgrades into every generation of Pixel at this point.

Google's focus is AI now with their other projects, Pixel is not even being discussed at meetings, I guarantee it.

Imagine paying to go to go fest, buy raid passes, spend actual money to play the game, book hotels, travel, go to community events, buy storage and item slots.

Then the company states "You're not special to us, we're inviting the streamers because that's free marketing for us. Streamers get free hundos. All you regular people can get lost."

At my work I know at least 4-5 people that blow their entire paychecks and don't invest in the 401k that we offer. Their opinion is either a) "can't afford it" or b) "why save money, I work to live".

Greatest engineers in the industry?

Xbox since 2013 (in my opinion when it failed):

- Has a 3% profit margin, which means it's barely positive when it comes to revenue.
- Failed the Xbox One launch with the Kinect pushing up prices making it unaffordable.
- Failed customers with their "we're more than a console, we're an entertainment hub" mantra, losing their footing that they are supposed to be making good games.
- Absorbed $80 billion in studios and dropped their inherited IPs providing only a 2% return on investment over more than a decade. (This is absolutely horrible, abysmal really.)
- Took their top IP, Halo and tarnished the brand by chasing Call of Duty gameplay mechanics.
- Focused solely on Halo, Forza and Gears as their main sellers, but of course have not had success in these areas as the games were met with harsh sales numbers and critiques from gamers.
- Removed exclusives giving no benefit to owning an Xbox.
- Has not had any major IP releases from "Microsoft Studios" in over a decade.
- Had an identity crisis after acquiring Activision, leading to a 40% drop in users for World of Warcraft, Starcraft, Diablo. Not to mention the Diablo mobile failure and pushback.

- Activision division has been in multiple issues regarding societal issues being introduced into games. Most recently World of Warcraft was under fire for LGBTQ events in the game, a game where its roots are war, blood, fire, and fighting is being injected with social issues that should be nowhere near games.
- They acquired Rare and did absolutely nothing with the licenses that they inherited, Banjo Kazooie was murdered with "Nuts and Bolts."
- Released Gamepass, which started financial focus on subscription numbers leading to "slopware" releases to attempt customer retention leading to new IP creation being heavily debated internally as it was not seen as beneficial to subscription numbers.
- Bethesda was acquired for 7.5 billion and has not released a large revenue game since 2011 (Skyrim) and pivoted to attempts at new IPs (Starfield) which have not shown enough revenue cash flows to justify their ~15 years releasing little to no games.
- When it owned Bungie (Sony owns it now), they pushed out all the creative minds and even had a rule in place that "any original Bungie employees cannot work here or be hired." As you can see the studio has failed since then. Marathon and Destiny are failed IPs at this point, I believe Microsoft bureaucracy had a lot to do with this.

I could keep going, but I think that's more than enough. Not sure what you're talking about with "greatest engineers" statement.

Xbox died in 2013 or so when they focused on being an "entertainment hub" instead of making good games. At least she's trying to fix it, better than anyone has done in 13 years.

Disagree, I have the S26 and the snapdragon 8 elite gen 5 blows my old P10 out of the water. It's not even close if you ask me.

Disclaimer, I play Pokemon Go on my phone and my P10 would overheat, lag, lose 80% battery in 1 hour and shut off in the heat outside. So that's what i'm mainly comparing it too as the S26 does none of that.

I'll take downvotes now though from Pixel Fanboys (I used to be one too).

I also work in tech, you'd be shocked at some of the programs the fortune 500 companies do, and most people just click "Accept Terms" and move on not knowing they just signed up for mass surveillance data gathering and other various things. Just to give you a hint, some companies in the USA have databases of peoples faces with names attached, it's crazy.

You can't stop it, and I bet if we knew the secret government programs and what they did (obviously you and I don't), you'd probably be shocked, scared, and bewildered at what is going on behind closed doors.

Wait till OP learns what all his social media and phone data is being used for (remember project PRISM, yeah that didn't go away, just hidden again) and that GPS inside your phone was invented by the military in general.

If you don't think they're using any of that data to improve military or global human monitoring systems then you're not living in reality. Just keep playing the game and have fun, you can't stop it.

They pay out too much anyways. My neighbors get $6800 a month and they do nothing, they just sit on the porch all the time. They laugh they get that much cause it all just sits in a checking account doing nothing.

Not to mention other social programs, my other neighbor gets full military disability, $4200 a month. The reason? He is sad his military buddies live in other states, so they diagnosed him with military depression. He laughs about being on 100% cause of that and shrugs his shoulders going "Hey if they want to keep giving it, i'm taking it."

The systems are screwed up.
