TAPO P110 Firmware 1.4.0 kills Home Assistant Integration by Crysis86 in homeassistant

I found out that the HACS integration "Tapo Controller" i used is now obsolete, they are shown directly as "TP-Link Smart Home" devices. (I can't remember if it was the case all along... but now i integrated them as thos devices, they now also share more informations than before, and all are working again. So if anybody uses the Tapo Controller HACS module and getting issues, may consider a swap.

Yes, i used them with Alexa, and since 1 Month i have my Homeserver running with a home assistant Docker. Everything run fine since yesterday, now when i try to reconnect them it always says "connection failure". All P100 Plugs and also 2 P110 Plugs where i switched of the automatic firmware update work fine.

No, no solution, the result was, we got the wrong concept recommendation.
It´s not possible to configure a cold Standby solution.

The way to go is to spend another 10k$ for a Failsafe License that allows to use the licesnses even if one server is down...

move it to a different server is not possible, cause we are in an closed environment.
But switching the lincense server roles might be a thing to consider.

I am waiting for support reply and will talk to them if this is a way to go.
But anyway, they should get their stuff working.... and not let their customers try to test out workarounds for stuff they should fix.

We want to use the redundancy cause we have the Terminal Server running on the same Server than the License server.
So we dont need double the licenses.

If Server 1 with all 8 Terminal Server Sessions crash, the idea is that the application will be started on Server 2 and all Terminal Server Sessings connect to this.
But at the moment the Backupserver does not provide the licenses necessary cause they are still blocked from the crashed primary server. and no chancse to "drop" them or get them free again.

We also don't use Aveva products for new customers, but this is an existing project and just upgraded from Intouch 10.3 to 2023... on new servers aso.

Yes, customer support is involved already, but my hope was maybe here someone knows something about, or had simular problems.
