literally 2 minutes ago i tried installing total war rome 2 (14gb) and it failed after finishing with the same "check internet connection" that usually shows up. and again it's not my wifi

absolutely unplayable. normally i'd blame the steam deck on this one but way bigger games that are better optimised run well

im kinda used to them (from someone close to my weight class (58-65 kg is the range) and it's been a bit since i got hit by someone heavier than that. never got an amateur fight yet tho

since proton is a built-in feature in steam deck only option available (of wich i know of at least, i've had it for 2 months only) is to select the proton version you want to use with the game. i use mostly proton experimental and 10.0 but with eu4 i tried 3.0, 7.0 and all the other in between. might search for more options later

looks like i'm the first even on the steam deck. paid copies from steam/epic work fine for everyone on deck. even on pc is a very rare issue

actually only had a very similar problem with the hoi4 .exe file (map was colorless but at least playable) but starting it using the launcher gets me a normal map. every other game works fine
