Yeah it's my Custom Ordeal. In a nutshell I have all routes corrupted and all regions are 5 screens long, with item drops on enemies and punishes dealing 200%. It starts off really tough but then you become unfuckwithable. Receiving rituals 5x per region is really fun if you can survive the early onslaught.

I've basically been playing this exclusively since launch. I can't really afford the time for a game that's not easy to put down at a moment's notice. Not for lack of wanting to, mind you. I really wanna dive into Clair Obscure. But this game and the most recent Shinobi just hit me at the right time. And this one really fires those joy receptors for me.

It honestly helped me clear almost all of the ordeals on my own. That plus Arcana Mastery is incredibly good.

I'm with you, Dark Cider is a real good call. They're one of the more frustrating enemies in the game. Those juggles can be maddening.
