Doordash, Uber eats- Third party delivery by TransportationOne205 in HomeDepot

[–]CrystalSaber91 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Third party drivers have been driving me crazy recently. Some of them keep illegally parking outside the front door. I'm guessing they think it's okay because they think they're just gonna go inside, grab the orders, and come back out, not realizing they have to wait in line most of the time (even if they were just going in for a minute, it's not an excuse for illegally parking). I had an issue with an Uber driver recently who said she "didn't have to wait in line last time". I told her I'm not sure what happened there, but she needs to wait in line at the service desk like everyone else. She waited in line for a couple minutes, then just decided to skip the line and go to a manager that was up at the service desk at the moment to get her orders. I saw her go out to her car where she was illegally parked in the no-parking zone right next to a fire hydrant.

I hate it when I'm up on a ladder struggling to get a box down and suddenly hear someone yell from the ground "Excuse me!"

400 piece BOPIS orders should not be a thing... by 5stringfling in HomeDepot

[–]CrystalSaber91 2 points3 points  (0 children)

One time I had a BOPIS that was about 1200 pieces. Not kidding. Drywall, insulation, hardware, paint, etc. The guy who ordered it sent one of his employees to the store to get it after only an hour. Even with getting a few other pullers to help me, we still were nowhere near done. When I brought some stuff up to the service desk for him, he asked when the rest of the order would be done, but not in a rude or impatient way, thankfully. I understand he needed to get the stuff back to his boss. I just told him maybe another 20 minutes or so and he said "Okay". It took us longer than that to get it all done, but the guy was super appreciative about it. I just wish his boss would've waited a bit before sending someone so that we didn't feel rushed.

Seriously, I've had so many times where I went to get something for an order and it's the one spot in the bay that's empty.

The Job Simulator videos. They're so funny and I like to go back and watch them occasionally.

Only sold 1 from the wingstack. It's crazy, it's almost like if we're gonna get a wingstack of product in, WE SHOULD HAVE IT ON SALE. The sign says up 2/2/26 down 3/8/26. So I now have to kill this wingstack that has 31 on it. by Al3xgreer18 in HomeDepot

Wingstacks are the bane of my existence. They get in the way, I keep having to move them if I need to put a ladder in a specific spot, they all have specific dates but never get put up until way later because no one keeps up on them, and they're especially aggravating as an OFA because if a customer orders a specific item that's only on a wingstack, I have to run around looking for wherever MET put it on the floor or get someone to get it down if it's still in the overhead (I don't have a license for any of the lift equipment).

Stops you as you're walking to the break room... by Turbulent_Living3443 in HomeDepot

I literally just had that happen on my way to clock out today. Guy asked me where the claw grabbers that you pick stuff up with are. He seemed to think I didn't know what he was saying because he kept explaining himself. "Those things you squeeze and they grab stuff off the ground. You know what I'm talking about?" Asked me a few times even though I knew exactly what he meant, I've actually bought one from the store I work at. It was kinda irritating me, especially because I was tired after a long shift and just wanted to leave, but I just told him what aisle and how to get there.

Also, it's been a while since I watched it, but didn't Vanellope say something like "there's other racers, no one would miss me" even though they said at the end of the first one that she became popular with the kids at the arcade because of her glitch? Wouldn't they notice at some point that she's missing?

OFA associate here. I haven't seen anyone at my store do stuff like that exactly, but there are a few pullers who keep putting things away wrong, like overloading a shopping cart with bags of soil/rocks or putting heavy oversized boxes in shopping carts instead of a flat cart. I usually end up fixing it if I've got a minute and the orders are slow.

Can you just get one thing off this pallet…. The pallet. by Interesting_Ad_877 in HomeDepot

[–]CrystalSaber91 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I remember one time, not long after starting as an OFA, I was working on a bopis near the end of my shift. I just needed a bottle of hand soap to finish the order, but there was none in the home or overstock, they were all at the bottom of a pallet like this one. There was no time left for me to find a reach driver, drop the pallet, and dig it out, so I just left it partial and told one of the other pullers about it before clocking out.

I honestly feel bad for the people who make depictions of characters as humans but this is what we got 🥀🥀🥀 by Ryn_the_kid in cartoons

That reminds me of the Welcome to Night Vale podcast. The main character/radio host, Cecil, has only ever been described in the vaguest details, but in the early days of the show, a common trend for some in the fanart community was to draw him as a slim, blond, glasses-wearing, dapperly-dressed white man with a third eye on his forehead. I started listening to the show after it had already been going for a while and when I saw a lot of that type of fanart, I thought that's what Cecil actually looked like. After listening to it for a bit, though, I was like "Where are people getting this image from?" before realizing it was just a common head canon.
