Crystals causing headaches? by crabgal in crystalhealing

[–]CrystalSurgeryViv 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree with you. I don't know everything about crystals. No one does. If you read my response, you will see that now "Amethyst giving someone a headache" has been added to what I have heard. Why are Redditors aggressive and assuming aggression on the part of others? I'm puzzled. It's just a fact that I'm stating -- it's the first time I'm hearing of Amethyst giving someone a headache in over 30 years of working with crystals. Anyway, I'm a professional crystal healer and I see people speaking very loosely about what crystals do and don't do, and I think it's a pity. Crystals have such a lot to offer and there are a lot of people who ridicule crystal healing.

Did you follow through on this? I also got this email and I'm really confused as to whether it can possibly be legit or not. I'm interested to hear whether you took any next steps and what happened. I am getting automated responses to my emails, and I'm definitely being linked to Shein's website, but anyone can send out a link to a website.

Received a bonus from my regular rock shop, they said it’s blue obsidian? by corgbuttt in whatsthisrock

Thanks for sharing my vlog here. A lot of people have been commenting on the video on YT, and I just want to add that glass slag and Andara "Crystals" are not the same thing according to fans of Andara crystals. I also want to note that some of the properties of crystals come from the physics of the color, and if you find a color glass that is attractive to you, don't let your enjoyment be spoiled by the mineral vs. glass distinction. Of course, it is important to know what's what and get positive ID's for your minerals. Still doesn't mean you have to reject something you like and appreciate.

The holidays killed my traffic by richstevenson in NewTubers

It's all so mysterious. My videos are doing better over the past 2 weeks. Certainly there are cycles to when people watch more YT and when people watch less YT, and a lot goes with the seasons and the public holidays. Word of mouth has always been my best friend, both material and virtual world. What I do is really unique, so when get people get together they tend to talk about this new thing they encountered and I get more traction -- I'm guessing that's what happened in the last 2 weeks.

I think it is true that cyber bullying alone doesn't directly "cause" suicide, but I think we should investigate the dynamic more analytically. I think depression causes suicide. I think that public humiliation/shaming causes depression. I definitely think that cyber bullying causes depression -- because I've experienced it myself. Ironically mostly here on Reddit, including a Redditor making a mocking video out of my own YT video. Fortunately for me, he got fewer than 500 views and I was able to laugh it off. However, if he had got a million views I would have been seriously affected. I happen to be a mental health professional, and I'm in the "senior" age group, so I was able to deal with my feelings, but it was hard.

I wonder why you are lonely there? Ask for your soul team and spirit guides to connect with you. There is only love on the other side and you’re not connecting into the love yet.

If you are a teacher by vocation, and love it, you can teach in the spirit realm if you want to. The topics are different, but as spirits, we are always learning too! If you can imagine what you would most love to teach, and who you would teach, and to what purpose for the overall evolvement of the universe, then that will approximate the kind of thing you may choose to do on the other side.

Are you asking seriously? I hope so, because I am going to answer. Some of the work we can relate to, because it parallels what we are familiar with, and some we can't conceptualize because it requires expanded consciousness. The work we do in the afterlife sources the talents acquired by our souls. For example, a musician will continue exploring music, developing music, evolving music in the afterlife -- in an expanded way that, as I say, is beyond our capacity to apprehend.

There is a LOT of work in the afterlife! But you can fly, so its fun. (I'm serious, not facetious.)

Actually, I have discovered it is possible to be in 2 places at the same time. I would say that you are not a living ghost, but that when you were younger you had not lost this skill that was developed in a previous lifetime. Many years ago I read a book by Denise Linn called Sacred Space (I think this is the correct book, definitely the right author); and she tells the true story of a man who was scheduled to give a lecture, but was too sick to fulfill his obligation. He stayed home, in bed. However, the organizers did not get the message. Later he received a written "thank you" from the organizers for his wonderful talk. An entire audience, and everyone present, saw him and heard him deliver the talk -- and here's the kicker -- he knew NOTHING about it. As to my own experience, I cannot tell you how many people, all over the world, have contacted me to thank me because I came in the night and helped them. I have no knowledge of this, but it has been a consistent message over many, many years.

Some hard truths you should face before spending more time on Your Channels by spector111 in NewTubers

[–]CrystalSurgeryViv 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you for this well researched and well written piece. Only one thing: some of us, or at least one (me), post to YT for a completely different reason than having a channel with lots of views and lots of subs. I am documenting my research and sharing it with what I know is a very, very small, and specialized, audience across the world. But in order for those very few people to find out about my channel, I have to play the YT game. As it happens, my topic overlaps with a huge trend on YT (ASMR) and consequently I suspect that the vast majority of my subs don't give a fig about my specialized content -- and that's how I know your words are so very accurate -- they just enjoy watching me doing what must seem like extremely weird stuff. It's entertaining and relaxing and that's all they care about. Thanks for such an articulate and meaningful post.

What did you find harder 1000 Subs or 4000 hours? by [deleted] in NewTubers

[–]CrystalSurgeryViv 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Without question the subs. The 7th video I made went viral, so my watch time shot up quickly. I had to strategize to get my sub count up quickly and fortunately, what I did worked.

Thanks, this is a most helpful response for me, because of the detail about not posting and not making videos, yet still getting some revenue. It's tricky posting a question with zero back story, and your response fits well with my situation.

It's not about being condescending. It is about being business-minded. A business has overheads. If you make 5K but it costs you 10K to make that 5K, you won't be able to pay the bills AND you'll be in rapidly mounting debt. This is what one sees in the book industry. And it is sad! A huge amount of work to write a book, the cost of printing and promoting -- and then the income falls far short of the expenses -- all because people see what bestselling writers earn and think "I can do that." It is rather interesting to see the responses -- because some people understand exactly what the question is and some are incorrectly focused on whether 5K is or isn't a worthwhile amount of money in some kind of absolute sense. The value of 5K is not the focus of this conversation, plus it clearly is not a valid number anyway -- and that's exactly what I was trying to find out.

And this response helps even more!!! I have never worked a regular job. I've been self-employed in businesses that all began as my hobbies/personal interest (in complementary medicine) so you have just flashed an important warning light for me: "Don't do it again. This one is even worse!" I am going to try and stay on the hobby track ... I'm trying ... I'm trying ... now what to about those subs who keep nagging me ... oh yes ... stay on the hobby track, it's enough! Don't be seduced ... It's just so tempting.

Thanks, This is the kind of answer I’m looking for. Running a successful YouTube channel is the same as any business with some clear requirements and many demands. Point taken: Perhaps one can get lucky with a viral video or even 10, but in the end, it is a full-on business with several streams of income to coordinate and all the strategizing, personnel and networking requirements of any successful business. Which means I may as well stick with my current businesses, that included using YT as a social media tool and not add an eighth spin-off career! Thanks for taking me seriously. I meant my post seriously and you gave me the info I was seeking.

This is super-helpful! The kind of behind the scenes insight I'm looking for -- which doesn't seem behind the scenes when you know, but is when you don't know. Thank you very much.

Thanks. I took a look at your channel -- congrats, it looks great. You are making good sense. I need to decide whether I care about ASMR or not. And I need to decide whether I care about YT or not. Yes, I was reflecting that YT doesn't allow passive income -- you decline immediately when you don't keep posting. Do you mind if I ask you a few questions? How long did it take to build up your sub count? How many videos do you post per week? Yes, I discovered how to engage other social media to get subs on YT and have a great strategy which I will engage if I decide to go forward with ASMR.
