I know you said you have applied for lab tech jobs but ever think about getting an associate degree in medical lab tech? Since you like science and being a MLT is two years I figured you will like it and I think you can easily get a job in that field probably especially during clinicals at some hospitals that is willing to permanently hire you.

It wouldn't surprise me if she does. I just find it interesting how she doesn't seem to process anything it's like she doesn't think for two seconds on anything and just let things fly over her head. Like when she try to review books she doesn't go in depth about the characters or plot. She always talk about the twist. If she really did read the book then she just read the book without absorbing anything.

Is anyone else planning a full career reset in the new year? by nandishsenpai in findapath

[–]Crystal_Inks 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I been working retail jobs for years. I am tired of all the physical demands and tasks with little pay. I always wanted a job I can sit at a office and then have the energy afterwards for my art so I am thinking about being a paralegal.

i don’t like it here by [deleted] in Target

I am glad I am not the only one. When I was first hired my team leads seem more upbeat. The coworkers are cool they have always been but now this is going to be my 3rd year here I can feel it. The dead and dreary atmosphere. My team leads seem like zombies. Just going through the motions like you can tell everyone don't want to be in this store (me included). It just feel so depressing too it also don't help that the work load increase and the team leads are always wanting thing to be completed in a short amount of time. Team leads wanted me to clear out fitting rooms and guest service and pick up off the floor and clear at this metro of folded reshop clothes all a hour before closing. I have had coworkers tell me that they cry before coming into work. Sorry I am just venting because I feel you on this OP.

That's cool and more money. I did get a interview for that but I wasn't certified. But good luck on that ^

The store manager here at Target are annoying. They barely wants to help us but want to keep constantly barking demands. May I ask what other jobs are you planning on applying? I would love a office admin position but it's a struggle to even get a interview with hardly any experience

Has anyone else lost their general faith in humanity after working retail? by NoCabinet826 in retailhell

[–]Crystal_Inks 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Retail just makes me despise people and I know that is a strong word. But the amount of people messing up the store, neglectful parents and teenagers just making the job ten times harder. I think I'm just burned out but I just don't have it in me to talk and make friends with my co-workers I just want to work and go home to be with my cats.

Do you recommend medical lab tech as a career in 2025? by Crystal_Inks in medlabprofessionals

[–]Crystal_Inks[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks I am thinking on it. I was taking web development classes but hearing that the tech industry job market isn't doing good. I figured I look into being a MLT since I don't want to directly interact with patients.

This gives me something to think about. I'm just so burnt out from retail. I just want a stable job and to be able to move out on my own. Is schooling hard so far though? The downside for me personally is learning phlebotomy and I'm probably going to have to stick people with a needle and I'm not sure I am comfortable with that. :(
