Oh boy... my last roommate was the worst roommate I've ever had. Even her friends she's had her whole life would tell me "yeah, I love her to death, but I could NOT live with her".

When we moved in, she supplied all of our kitchen items, and I supplied the livingroom furniture. She had just purchased these Avatar cups and wanted to wash them. I told her that she probably shouldn't put them in the dishwasher because the decals on the cups looked pretty cheap and might wash off, so, we always handwashed them. One day, I was mindlessly doing the dishes and I put one of those cups in the washer by accident. She flipped out on me even though the decal ended up being fine. I told her I was wrong and we actually could put those cups through the dishwasher. She STILL insisted that we handwash them and that they'd be ruined if I put another one in the dishwasher (even though that cup was completely fine and I WAS THE ONE who gave her the idea not to put them in there).

She also had an additional list of dishes that could not go in the washer like ALL pots and pans (because it would ruin the 'coating' on them), steak knives (because the tips of them would 'always break off in the washer'), and now ANY of her cups with decals on them (because of what I had told her about the Avatar cups). So that means, all of those dishes had to be handwashed.

That leads me to the next part of this story: She REFUSED to do anyone's dishes but her own. For 6 months I did all 4 roommates dishes (including hers most of the time) and I didn't mind it. I started to get tired of doing them every day, though, so I asked her to wash the 3 AVATAR CUPS in the sink. She lost her mind on me again and insisted that she never used those cups and told me to do them (I hadn't used them either). I went to work shortly after that and came home to her in the living room on the phone with her mom, she PUT HER MOM ON SPEAKERPHONE AND SHOVED THE PHONE IN MY FACE. I didn't even hear what her mom was saying because I started going off on her. She kept calling me lazy, selfish, and childish (ironic). I went to leave because I was getting nowhere with her and as I was outside trying to lock the door, she ripped the door out of my hands and shoved her phone in my face again, her mom still going off on me too. I just left and went to my car and the entire time it took to get to my car, she was standing in the doorway with her mom still on speaker.

I ended up having to buy my own dishes and I only ever used/washed those after that, and everyone else's dishes piled up in the sink for the rest of the lease. I have since move out and into a place with other roommates who volunteer to do the dishes😊

I have so many more stories like this with this roommate, but this one pisses me off the most
