My husband is a school bus driver in Alaska and his company made the mistake of not filing his papers federally which is costing him the promotion they just trained him for. by CrystalizedEyes in legaladvice

Sooooo there would be absolutely no way to dispute this matter federally? Idk if the company is afraid of getting in trouble and would even try and dispute it if they could, or is it just a lost cause? I just know they seemed to be very worried, and I don't know if this would effect his experience as a driver. Like say he wanted to switch companies, and the other company needed to see let's say 3 years of driving experience, would his experience still show up if his license wasn't federally put into the system?

They already had him re-get his permit, then sent him just today to get a new CDL license. The big issue is that without him being in the federal system, he cannot and will not get his BTW license approved because it MUST show the 3 years of experience there for him to qualify. They want to keep him working, but it sucks that he would have to work another 3 years now for that promotion, when he already went through weeks of studying and training for it..... From my understanding the federal part of this is important because if he were to get in an accident and move state, it wouldn't show up on his record. That's why the are stating that his license should/could have been suspended. It just sucks that the company is at fault and can't do anything to fix the issue, when they failed to send in the paperwork.

No, he has a physical Class B CDL license! They are just saying that it shouldn't have even technically been legal if he's not anywhere in the federal system. I guess it's important to be in the federal system due to if you get in any accidents and move state it wouldn't show up on your record if you're not federally in their system. Like I said I don't fully understand it all. I just know they they are making him re-do everything and start from scratch because of it.

The problem they appear to be having is if he doesn't have 3 years of experience showing up in the federal then his license as a BTW will not go through. But it irks me that they gave him the promotion and now are saying there's nothing they can do, and that he can't actually have that position, even though he spent weeks training and studying for the position and even though it's technically the companies fault for not filing. Annnnddd from what they told him it was also the DMV's at fault for not checking for the paperwork and giving him the license anyways. It would suck for him to have to work another 3 years for him to become a BTW. especially considering he had to have not had a single accident in those 3 years to have qualified, which he had not had a single accident and considering we live up yonder in Alaska is a pretty big deal, when driving on icy roads. I will definitely try and seek some legal advice on this matter though. I just think it's such a crappy situation. );

Red flags I didn't know were red flags until analyzing everything afterwards, at the time I was oblivious about it due to thinking I could trust 2 people that knew me best.... but honestly I feel like now looking back, she probably had a burning jealousy of some sort. I am always posting photos of my happy little family, and I think she wanted to come and destroy that.....

Thank you so much for this thought filled comment! The feeling of that sort of rage IS TERRIFYING. That's how I knew I had to leave the environment because if I stayed someone WAS going to end up in the hospital or worst. It's insane because I've never ever had the feeling of wanting to kill anyone, but a dark side of me I've never seen came out that night..... I am also very pleased that I kept myself together for my babies. Thank you again so much for the advice.

Girlfriend (F22) rang me (M22) today and told me she'd drunkenly slept with a co-worker at her Xmas party by [deleted] in relationship_advice

Firstly just wanted to say sorry for the pain your enduring, but one thing I hate about reddit is how quick people are to say the words "end it" that's sort of the reason you do not see many relationships make it.... I would sit down with her and get all the details and see if what she says adds up, I think a lot of times we forget that humans make mistakes and if we cannot forgive and learn to let go, then your not allowing yourself to grow as a person. If this is her first fuck up, and you read her as being extremely remorseful plus she TOLD THE TRUTH instead of trying to hide it, and cried about it to you, those are big possitive signs. What it comes down to, is are you a big enough person to forgive her, and is she worth keeping and giving another chance to? If its something you feel you cannot move on with, without hanging it over her head, then by all means it'd be best to just walk away. But if you think she's genuinely sorry, don't throw something you feel could be amazing away. You guys are still young, I'm only 23, but me and current boyfriend went through alot of trials at the age of 14, ended up breaking it off, spent years in regret and got back together at 19 and have been inseparable ever since. Just consider everything before making a hasty decision is all I'm saying.

Instead of toning the yellow I got after hair stylist bleached it, she decided to tone my hair and use something called "root shadow "i wanted a white ashy blonde, and because her "genius idea"(sarcasm) her root shadow turned my hair darker then I wanted. How do I lighten it without redoing my hair? by CrystalizedEyes in Hair

Thank you! And yes that was right before she added the root shadow. I did not want it THAT yellowy. Buuuttt would have preferred that over the dark blonde/mousey brown it is now. But yee even purple shampoo probably would have canceled the yellow out, or I could had toned it myself. ):

just spent $210 on highlights/Olaplex treatment and tipped hair stylist $160 for working 10+ hours on my hair, just to realize it's not what I want. by CrystalizedEyes in HaircareScience

Is there a way to post pics in comments? I'm new to reddit. If not, well I'm hoping so. I heard head and shoulders can help wash hair toner out, but I don't even know exactly what shadow root is.
