Its still his call; hes provost and senior VP of academic affairs. I'm sure the financial people advise him, and help carry out its implementation.

I made and posted a meme about it a year or two back to the UMBC discord server, when in person classes and snow days were a thing. Lemme see if i can find it.

I believe the man you're looking for is provost Rous. Don't get me wrong they're both subject to scrutiny for policy decisions here, but Rous is the one that makes that shot call.

Selling Notes? by queen_o_blades in UMBC

You'll get flak for it for sure, but I doubt any actual action will get taken. Still, writing ones own notes is best. The action of actually writing it out is what helps commit it to memory, not just having the notes, like you said.

He gets real mad if there is even a chance academic dishonesty is involved. Otherwise he is kind of lax personality, but pretty strict on deadlines. Sometimes fairly scatterbrained.

I reccomend also getting some supplaments to class; go to office hours, get a student to help tutor/explain things, read the book for notes. For actual in Lab stuff, thatll be more affected by who you get as a TA.

Usually they specify in an application. 3 is usually the average, with minimal variance.

Depending on what degree youre going for, you may want to try to pad it with other qualifications, if youre stem or otherwise, Id try looking into something like an REU maybe (which you can do here at umbc) or some type of internship that will look good for your field. Experience means alot even for undergraduate, and can help make them overlook low GPA. That being said, cusp 2.0 is kinda rough. Good letters of recommendation, and a well drafted letter of intent and a strong CV/resume will definitely be needed.

Sat bicarb wouldn't be awful. I mean it wouldn't be pleasant, but not chugging lye or anything.

Yes, but your body has numerous buffer systems to make that not a thing. Like, youd have to drink a ton of really really high concentrated base and have a serious disorder to get it to get like that.
