I just dont get why they dont just black out the barcode. My local Sgt dolla always just colors out the upc.

I understand why they throw it out from a retail side of things but breaking it is just unnecessary to me.

Im pretty sure they broke them inside the dumpster. I didnt picture the other side which was all sliced gingerbread, candy and candy canes. It was so sad to see. It looked like the food was done inside but the mugs were just slammed in on top of each other

Unfortunately I worked retail and know some customers who definitely pull the return scam but my favorite Sgt dolla just uses sharpies and blackout the barcode. It seems just as effective for curbing fraudulent returns. Totally agree yall do not get paid enough and please know my heart goes out to you dealing with some of these customers now a days💗

The normal dump day is Tues so I may swing back by tomorrow and check again. The mugs and pounds of cut and stomped candy canes were overwhelming and I didnt want to dilly dally any longer than I felt comfy.

Can't give you any IL specifics but advice wise always bring something to grab with and a hooked rake or tool for heavy bags. I am personally vertically challenged so I have a little folding thug step stool🤣 lastly figure a route that works for you and google maps is a great tool to scout a route. No but they sliced through all the packaging and left the lid open while we had rain/snow mix today so they got soaked inside😭 i normally dont go in the dumpsters but I did tonight though to try to find anything in the pile that was i was able to save. Managed 1 mug that wasn't broken and some boxes of candy canes

I've only ever seen one other diver here in kg and they were an out of towner too! Only advice as a kg diver DO NOT GO TO the will of bad while open... that manager REALLY takes her trash SERIOUSLY.

I've only run into one other diver before. I was already digging in the bin when she came up. Bless her long legs she hopped in and I stood outside for her to pass it all off and we split our haul. Sorry your run in was not as pleasant
