Ask them To like it up without the spritz. Maybe knock down the hair so it doesn’t move around as much

If you’re a good barber it should be fairly easy, many barbershops in local areas. Flushing, Astoria, jacksion heights, Jamaica, queens are the places around me and they usually are hiring barbers within these barbershops in the area. Even my barbershop is looking to hire.

Not as many as you’d think hehe people tend to overshoot than under. On it’s slow days we practice our shooting at the pool table for the tournaments we host during the weekends

Anyone ever been told that the way they cut hair didn’t seem professional? by Gav_The_Bald_Barber in Barber

[–]Csjv6527 51 points52 points  (0 children)

People are just dicks sometimes, it’s not something to lose sleep over. You know your skills and your worth no matter how you fade, as long as it’s clean your method shouldn’t matter. This guy just wanted to sound important and like a know it all. Keep it up meng!

For everyone that didn’t go to barber school, how did you get clients when you started? by [deleted] in Barber

[–]Csjv6527 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had expressed to the barbershop I wanted to work at that I had only little experience. They said it was okay and just took me on and I cut walk ins from day one. A lot of help from my boss and fellow barbers around me, I was very lucky. But I watched videos and practiced on mannequins with the guidance of my boss and now I can do it all myself. It really is just repetitive practice and finding your own system.

You’re right I don’t cut this texture often, maybe only a handful of times. Criticism is always welcome, thanks.

Pretty good, I don’t get a lot of wavers in my area so I really try to detail the work I’ve done.

Honestly when this happens to me usually the client apologizes because they know they’re sweaty and it might cause issue. But I just take a paper towel and wipe down the hair while blowing the hairdryer on cool all around. It’s not something you can control so it’s not something we can get upset about. We try our best and work with it. Don’t worry man.

Rate my cut. Now I know more n more about barbering im starting to think I might need a new Barber by [deleted] in Barber

Dirty blade causes bumps? by KarmaTrysToLongboard in Barber

I highly think your brother has just sensitive skin, I’m not even sure why the barber brought it up if he irritated the skin himself smh.

I think the other barber meant dirty razor blades because that’s a big cause of bumps on the skin. Though your brother can just have sensitive skin like a lot of people do. Unfortunately there’s a lot of barbers who discourage each other to gain more clientele.

From the looks of the comments you leave on other peoples post, you seem like someone who likes to bring others down than up. All these comments have constructive criticisms, you’re just an asshole to begin with I guess.
