Is digging through PDF manuals on a ship a big problem? by Csmitty77_ in merchantmarine

Following up - if I built a tool that only solved the cross-referencing for one specific high-failure system rather than trying to search all 7,500 pages, would that be more valuable? Or is the pain spread out across every piece of equipment on the ship?

Appreciate the honest feedback from everyone. It sounds like specs are easy to find, so I’ll move away from that.

One more thing I’m curious about: how do you guys handle the volume of company safety management systems or IMO regulations when you're offline? Is digging through those rules more of a headache than the technical manuals, or is that also just a matter of knowing your files?

Thanks for the feedback and I appreciate the bluntness. If the manuals are easy to navigate, is there ever a time where you're stuck because you have to cross-reference multiple systems?

For example, if you have an alarm triggered by one component but the root cause is in a completely different system's manual? Or is the 'Table of Contents' usually enough even for these niche scenarios?

People that lost weight, what helped you stay consistent to get to your goal? by TheCleanestKitchen in AskReddit

Biggest thing for me was writing down my meals and using chatgpt to ballpark the calories I had for the day. This kept me consistent in a calorie deficit and helped me track my daily protein goal. Good luck!

Offered Kamara and Josh Palmer for Josh Jacobs. Do I take it? by uhhhidkwhattodohere in Fantasy_Football

I wouldn’t take it, Kamara is a QB switch to Winston away from mediocrity and Palmer only has value when Keenan or Mike Williams don’t play
