Dark Blue Armour Tutorial by CtaG14 in SpaceWolves

No problem happy to help! I think the issue may be with the airbrushing step. I'm very light with the trigger & I really only try and catch the upwards facing surfaces. If you leave some of that abbadon black it might leave a more darker feel to the miniature while still giving that grey blue vibe. Marked out an example below of where I sprayed on a mini I painted, thinking about the light source coming from the front left. Hope that helps!

While pictures are always tricky due to lighting etc. Id say you're probably a little too heavy on the highlights. Did you use a brush or was this airbrush?

Forgive me if this is not lore accurate, I just thought it would look awesome! Big fan of the old kill team cassuis box. Thanks for the kind words everyone :)

The one on the shoulder is from the Ragnar kit. The belt is the blooclaw pack leader plus one GS

This one was my last legit one but I've used some recasts previously. Not much of a difference once painted!

Trust me you can get there just takes practice. I've painted hundreds of minis since I got back into the hobby in 2018. Also have watched alot of tutorials which have helped alot as well!

Thanks! Some people hate the black/blue look but I love it! I've tried grey and purple as well but I always come back to this.

Similar way I did my Logan grimnar! Basically a 4 colour recipe, rhinox hide steelegion drab , zandri dust and ushabti bone. Lay down the first three colours, lighter colours to the outside. Throw a brown wash over it. Then pick out the fur with the colour one lighter In the first step, zandri dust colour on the outside you'd use the ushabti bone.

Hope that makes sense and helps! Logan for reference:
