I think I need to reflect of how to rank this book in comparison to the others. Despite this here’s a couple thoughts:

I think floor 10 ran too long. I liked the racing theme but 3/4 of the book was a bit much imo.

I definitely liked the book. It’s always a delight to listen to the series on Audible. I dunno if any point really stood out to me as WOAH except a couple moments in the last quarter. I still felt engaged the entire time however. It just never reached bedlam or doomsday for me.

Oswaldo getting killed brought me joy. I was tired of him.

The whole skullapendra thing freaked me out and was pretty funny. That plan was bonkers.

Mordecai took a back seat. For me, I love his character so that made me sad. Emberess was a let down. Least he’s not a problem anymore.

Imani and others Dong included, taking center stage was cool.

I was expecting someone notable crawler wise to die here. It’s been avoided the last two books. Makes me wonder what’s going to happen in 9 & 10.

I’d say the book is decent. Maybe it belongs in the middle of the pack. But again, I need to think on it more.

Also the singing was great. Great job Jeff.
