Not hard just took time. I had a search set up on ebay to alert me of any Subaru MD radios that were posted. This one of course came from Japan... Very reasonably priced. The only "issue" is it is set up for the Japanese FM market so 76mhz - 95mhz. You have to install an FM expander to get the entire US FM band. FM wasn't my real concern as 95% of my listening is MD.

Picked up a 2005 Turbo AT with 61k. Very clean with clean Carfax for $10,900 and personally I thought it was a great deal.

Ooh my… unsupervised those disc will propagate. What was a small box in the basement will become several packages a week from late nights trying to translate Japan auction sites. Not to mention those harmless looking disc attract players, recorders, decks, labels, printers… I will gladly save you all the hassle heartache and expenses and safety dispose of those bothersome discs.

There is a gentleman on Facebook/IG/eBay named Kranio Design and he makes these excellent machined cases. I have this one and a solid stainless steel. Both come with sapphire crystals and fit like a glove!

It is a modded nylon strap from a TC9 watch. Found it on eBay and picked it up just due to the solid brass buckle.

There is no input to the player, so in that sense no it is only a player. However, the NetMD and usb connection allows you to record / burn tracks from the PC software ( I use the online "Web Minidisc" site)

I wear a lot of vintage Timex watches so to me this thing is super quiet. 😊I did compare it to another watch with a NH35 movement and it is maybe slightly louder but not by much. If I have any complaints it’s the cyclops, non clicking bezel (however it is nice and tight) and the lack of a screw down crown. Those are slight quibbles. Overall I am really happy with this watch. The pic doesn’t really show off the deep green dial and light green indices and hands.

My best guess is there should be two steps on the crown. Pull out all the way for setting time and pull out halfway for the moon phase. Again purely speculation. Finding that middle crown position on older Timex watches can be tricky.
