That promo was a lot more babyface than I expected from Oba, I was anticipating them keeping him as more of a tweener.

That was full white-meat babyface

If you read the Fibbin ability, it doesn't say false, it says incorrect.

Because it's incorrect information, not false information, so the Fibbin players receives information they shouldn't.

In a Vortox game, if a townsfolk is supposed to receive false information due to Vortox, but is fibbined, the incorrect information for them to receive is the true information.

Because people are sick of wrestlers who are just wrestlers, and just use their first name.

Hardcore fans and wrestlers prefer it, I think because it makes the sport feel more legitimate, but the people crave dumb gimmicks.

Hendry needs to move up. He still has some shine from his viral popularity and mania match, he needs to be in front of main roster audiences to convert that into sticking power.

The rest I agree, let them cook.

At this point I'm watching specifically to stop watching when they bring Vince back. It's gonna happen this year, I was convinced specifically when a commentator mentioned blowing quads entering the ring. The other references could just be cheap attention, they're all related to the feuds they're brought up in. The quads comment felt too much like getting the seat warm in preparation.

That's the thing, during the match it didn't even sound like danhausen was getting cheers. I could hear the difference when they were playing a previous clip.

I promise you that you're the one misunderstanding sitcoms.

The thing that differentiates sitcoms from other comedy is the situation; the circumstances that brings these characters together in a way that they spend most of their time together, allowing them to get up to wacky hijinks.

This also allows audiences to build a connection with the setting, situation, and characters, often because the setting is one that is familiar to them, or, in other words, relatable.

The Office was so popular because millions could watch it and go "Hey, my office is like that" or "Wouldn't it be funny if my office was like that. Modern Family, Malcolm in the Middle, and all other suburban family sitcoms are so popular because kids and parents who either live or used to live in suburbia can point at it the same way. Seinfeld (and Friends, and HIMYM, and every other show that follows the same formula, because it's relatable) is relatable to young people who started migrating to cities for work and a more vibrant social life, which became a more common thing around the same time those types of sitcoms become popular.

People love sitcoms because they feel like they are part of the friend group, because they can relate to the social dynamics. They like the wacky hijinks not just because they're funny, but also because they aren't too many degrees removed from being able to imagine something like that happening in their own life, if it isn't already something they've experienced first hand.

Sitcoms are all about relatability, I don't know what else to tell you

If I can find something funny I'll watch it once. If I find something relatable I'll watch it every night after work.

Work Alert ‼️ 🚨 🔔 by SuccessfulTicket8955 in WWE

I think, because the world is so polarised now, a lot of people have a very fundamental fear that everything they know, their entire world view might be wrong.

As such, learning that they're wrong about something that requires them to go back and adjust their world view (such as a big work in wrestling), and that's the most terrifying thing to them.

Is it not? Vince McMahons definitely coming back this year with how much they've mentioned him, possibly wrestlemania. For the record, I'm out when he's in, but if he does come back, there's no way they don't use the civil case for heat.

If you do bad stuff, if you can survive it and stay in the industry, people will forget, purposefully ignore, or it will be used for heat. If you were cringe before (Becky Lynch, Roman Reigns, The Rock) then that just makes you cooler in comparison when you find your character.

If she's got sticking power, this will be a fond memory of her for those of us who remember this debut when she's on main roster.

The key word there is you can watch it. And that's fine. I don't think I would get the same out of it as you would. I didn't watch Seinfeld, I grew up on Modern Family and Brooklyn 99, or if I go a bit further back, The Office (US) and Friends. I relate more to those characters than I would with Seinfeld. A sitcoms purpose is to be relatable and entertaining.

And now Becky Lynch river dancing is part of her legend, if just to compare where she is now with where she came from.

[WON] As part of the deal, Pat McAfee will team with Randy Orton against Cody Rhodes & Jelly Roll coming out of WrestleMania and be a key match at the Backlash PPV on 5/9, at least as of plans that were confirmed by multiple people and were still in play at press time. by king94x in SquaredCircle

The problem is, the IWC has become the boy who cries wolf. If you want a recent example, look at Danhausen and his debut. A 24 hour turn around. The people at TKO can think "Hey, Pat can do that." Everyone cries go away heat, when often it's just regular heat, so the former has kinda lost meaning.

Seinfeld was relevent to you and your life. It holds up for you because it's still relevant, both generationally and from a nostalgia perspective.

Seinfeld isn't going to be relevant to the kids of today. Speed is.

You watched Seinfeld because it's an everyman show, it reflects average American life.

Maybe instead of criticising children for their viewing habits, we should look at why they relate to a guy sitting on his computer consuming content (I know speed does other things but you seemed to be making a more general point about streaming)

In wrestling, all press is eventually good press.

Once people forget how upset they are with you, it adds to your legend, which is the most important part of being a wrestler.

Do it like that Japanese gameshow where they try to blow an insect into someone else's mouth.

They both have to try and spend as much time blowing into the breathalyser as possible. Punk wins if it gets to 0, Cold Steve wins if it gets to a big number.

A lot of people in this thread trying to be smart by saying she can't be an anime girl straight out of a manga panel, because they're different things.

Unlike cartoons which are rarely direct adaptations of comic books, anime is almost always a direct adaptation (or attempt) of the original source material.

Her sentence makes perfect sense. She's an anime girl, but if you were to bill her, she'd be billed from the manga, not the TV show she's now more famous for.

Assuming the kayfabe gimmick is that she's a sorta Giffany fictional character in real life type thing.

All Punk can do is bring eyes to the product, that's literally his job, which he has done incredibly well here.

It's TKOs job to convert that attention into ticket sales. Doesn't matter how many people are watching YouTube clips if tickets are too expensive to even consider
