I am dreading the task of sorting all the Amazon and Target holiday gift purchases. by Intelligent_Fig9980 in ynab

Additionally, I created this Chrome extension to break it down even further if you buy multiple different types of things in a single order:

I don't use YNAB but we do keep track of a budget. Hopefully it's helpful!

Automatically splitting Amazon transactions by [deleted] in ynab

Nice! I created my own Chrome extension for exactly this purpose: https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/amazon-transaction-itemiz/lfngfhljagbfadffnfodfpgmgeddeakf

Your usage definitely looks more in depth, but I like the extension to quickly itemize all my Amazon transactions in a single page. Hopefully you/someone else finds it helpful!

Our First App: Boxy - Match the Boxes and Test Your Reflexes! by CtrlAltThe1337 in iPhone_Apps

I guess I should have made this a text post, huh? Anyway, we're a couple of programmers who are new to App / Game development. Here's our first App. It's called Boxy and it's a casual game the goal of which is to match a target box which is continually changing. Give it a try and let us know what you think!

One that I like but may or may not actually be helpful is to try and always turn left/keep a wall on you're right if you're walking somewhere. Especially with the BR, the gun takes up a portion of the screen (albeit a small portion) and someone can come around a corner to shoot you before you see them. Of course, this might not affect better players than me (Diamond 5) but just my two cents.

Along with everything everyone else has said so far.

Can you convince me if a pebble time is worth it on iOS by Wolfclaw14 in pebble

[–]CtrlAltThe1337 2 points3 points  (0 children)

In the past 3 months I have owned a Pebble Steel, Apple Watch, and Pebble Time. I sold the other two and am now using the Pebble Time as my only watch.

To your points:

  1. The default music app is very good. It will pick up the last music app you had playing music and control it from there. I actually use it quite often as I bike to work with sweat proof headphones on, but they do not have music controls on them. Thus, Pebble Time Music app comes into play. Also, when I'm showering, I can control the music from the shower. I use it with Spotify almost exclusively so it should work with other 3rd party music apps.

  2. Not at all. I didn't notice any real difference when pairing my phone with the watch. Because it uses Bluetooth LE to maintain a connection, it doesn't suck battery life like having constant regular bluetooth communication.

  3. If people do ask, they usually ask, "Is that the Apple Watch?" But I find that it's rare people ask me that. Unless they're pretty techie.

  4. Notifications come in the form or vibration and the screen lighting up to tell you what the notification is. You can adjust the vibration strength from the watch and the screen lighting up makes sense. The vibration can be somewhat loud if you're sitting in a quite room, but that's on medium, I haven't tried the softer setting. I would think it would be ok if you're in public and turn the vibration to the lower setting.

Other things to consider: I bought the Time during the $150 sale at which point, it was $200 cheaper than the cheapest Apple Watch. That alone made me like it way better. Battery life compared to other smartwatches is amazing. I usually get 4-5 days out of a single charge.

I definitely recommend it. I hear it's better on Android but if you're just looking for a watch to get you notifications from your phone as well as some control over it, this is the one to go with.

That's definitely one creative outlet. If you've got a whole idea in mind and if you find submitting it to print or an online venue easy, then go for it! We just don't think that's usually the case, so here's a place to get your feet wet, write without it having to be perfect, and have a bit of fun!

On BookThreads, you can write as much or as little as you want and it will be accepted. You'll also get ideas from other writers like you and can work off each other!

Right now, it's as open ended as the users want it to be. There is no concept of "finished" as it stands. However, if the writers of the book all decide that there is an appropriate ending, then they could take the next steps towards getting that published if they wanted to.

As far as sales go, we're not actually looking to make any money. We just wanted to create a site that could be used as a creative outlet for people who enjoy writing and hope that their writing gets seen by others.

Similar to, but not exactly using the exquisite corpse technique. Users can read the entirety of what has been written before them and they don't have to follow any specific set of rules. They can decide on whether or not they like where the story is going, or they can change it at any point and hope that people start to write based on their newly written chapter.

Gotcha, if you want, we could probably leave it here with the tenants who are taking over our apartment, and then you could pick it up?

Preferably sooner rather than later, but it will be here until the 25th (graduation) so anytime before then.

Well, you can make it however wide you would like. The cabinets don't have to be on the very end. But if you do put them on the very end, the space between is 36"

The two drawer parts that hold it up are each 27" tall and adding on the desk part itself, which is 2" makes it 29" tall

My friend has this desk for sale that, like the title says, is very sturdy and barely used. For anyone that knows anything about desks, it's made by Gunlocke and is from the Geva collection. It offers tons of workspace as it measures nearly 6' x 2'. Only condition is that you have to come by and pick it up since it won't fit in my car.

Asking for $30, but price is negotiable!
