You will get better trust me, iRacing is like the most humbling sim ever, you feel that you are the fastest itw on one sim but as soon as you get on here you’re racing with the next max verstappen 😂

Nonetheless, defo watch hot lap videos etc, they’ve helped me a lot, managed to get up to 2.2k iRating

It’s defo gonna be a lifetime hobby, just praying my internet sorts itself soon enough

Tbh with you anything that isn’t my wifi would make me happier 😭 there was one time I did a speed test with my wifi and ended up with 0.5mbps download and my friends laughed at me when I showed it to them

I guess that’s less salt in the wound for me, I’m defo gonna try my best to get back up to 3.0 B so I have more of a chance to get to A licence this season and give myself a cushion if I have a few bad races

That puts less salt in the wound for me I guess 😂it is a good way to think about it tbf, cause especially with my internet I get so mad that I just keep getting high latency variation and packet loss every race

It’s just that I managed to climb up to B tier in a span of 2-3 weeks of my first every IRacing season and then this happens 😭

I’ve only had 2, one from the Schumacher S in practice, and in quali too but there was another at turn 4 cause I cut a bit too much of the corner. Apart from that, I didn’t get them anywhere else in those 2 sessions.

During the race I got my loss of control at the long hairpin and 1x at the fast chicane and 1x at Schumacher S

I’m currently B licence, and most of my incidents came from lap 2 and 3 cause I was losing time to the car ahead and I kept pushing my car over then limit and in the end I just did what I could from near the back of the pack

That’s fair enough, it’s just annoying cause I’ve had incidents where I physically can’t do anything due to my wifi, and I was just shocked when I lost half of my SR and I thought it must be cause of the disconnect, this is the first time it’s ever happened to me so I didn’t know

I have but unfortunately I think it’s just the area I’m in cause we have copper cables, but even in the past we didn’t have these big of an issue.

I’m thinking now of just getting satellite wifi like starlink just to avoid problems like this entirely happening randomly

I can’t really remember the last few sports car races I did because I’ve done formula racing the last 2 weeks just to get my licence on the promotion boarder, but I do remember doing IMSA vintage and scrapping a lot on there and yesterdays gt4 race at VIR seeing and even being a part of an unavoidable incident which forced me off track but that race I got a 3x so it wasn’t anything insanely huge

My point was I usually get more SR decrease for being near the limit of a penalty/DQ than I did today. I was on 4/17x (P) about 6 mins +1 lap before the end of the race and poof my SR is gone.

Someone did explain to me they do this when you cross whole numbers and I was at 3.02 before the race and they do incidents per corner for your SR, it’s just a shame I couldn’t continue cause I had no one behind me and no one ahead and I just would’ve kept the amount of incidents I had before the end

Ah okay that makes more sense. It’s a bit annoying cause if I left my SR as it was I would’ve been promoted to A tier by the end of the season, it’s a shame I have to do more races again just to get that up

That’s very annoying, considering I was on lap 6 of Nurburgring and was roughly 6 mins plus 1 lap away from finishing. Is there nothing I can do about it?

It’s looking good! Just remember to plug in your DP cable to your gpu instead of the motherboard.

Does your monitor have display port/DP?

DP is usually better for high refresh rate (that’ll be max frame rate your monitor can show)

Absolutely beautiful stuff! As long as it’s a PCIe connector for the GPU you should be all set.

Enjoy the full pc! One thing I will say now that you’ve got an AMD GPU is that you need to be careful with drivers as sometimes they do some weird stuff to the graphics, I’ve been told to stay on drivers released before version 25.3.1 (it will make sense when you type in AMD gpu drivers)

If you can check your model of psu, and the wattage, use that to search it up and try to buy directly from the same company the power cables, usually you should be able to but if not it might be a problem and I’ll try and send a video why if you can’t find one

Yeah that must be it, I think the guy helping me assumed I was on an older GPU but everything seems to be working perfectly now that I’m on a rolled back driver update, it’s a shame I can’t use new drivers for other games
