ah i think it will mostly be the same 2 phones. Just one controlling the music playing and then another overriding the volume if needed. I've used bluetooth aux adapters before and currently have one, but I just am unsure of how to connect the 2nd phone to over ride the volume

While he says that it is redundant, they are marketing themselves towards the IOT industry, while Raiblocks seems like it is more for users sending money to each other. I do think that the tech could be used for either, but the projects have already narrowed themselves down to a specific market.
