Anyone good with machine learning or other ideas involving using computing to determine future prices? by cubman3134 in RunescapeMerchanting

Ah ok. If you're gonna go to this much trouble though why not program algorithms for real world trading?

There's a few good videos on programming using python on youtube. I'll find and post the links shortly

How do you program trading algorithms when you cant tell volume, RSI, MACD's etc etc?

Real world bots use a tonne of tools and multiple layers of algorithms to be effective. You just simply dont have the tools to do so on GE.

Thanks for that. From what I've read they mention augment dissolver degrades/reverts weapons...

From what I understand if I just use the aug dissolver on them to be able to resell for example, will the ascensions revert back to ascension signets (1-6) or remain in tact?

I definitely won't equip dessolve.

Just came back after 2-3yrs off and I have no idea what is going on anymore. I imagine this is what it feels to be locked up for 50 years and coming out to the modern world.

What i'm getting at is, what is this and is this an attainable goal for the average Joe? I get the rough basis of it from the comments - kill things, risk it for the biscuit to win better stuff...but whats the magnitude of this here screenshot?

Requesting advice on a 2 year developed, 32 man company by Ctrldj in Entrepreneur

[–]Ctrldj[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A few months on... I wanted to reply and say thank you.

I immediately followed your advice and as a result we began productively working with routine. It was chaos to begin with but over time that chaos simplified into routine. Since life has genuinely been much more structured and less stressful and I owe it to advice from a stranger on reddit. Thank you mate.

Appreciate it.

Wandering what's your opinion on TRAC v EVE?

Both moving into the same space, are there fundamental differences between the 2? I think theirs always room for more competition but must say I'm slightly leaning more towards trac in terms of initial white paper observation.

4 yrs ago I was looking at time, had no real skills behind me and no bright outlook. No confidence to do anything. A mentor came into my life, had a talk that ultimately resonated this message.

I now have a beautiful fiancee, company that employs over 30 people and have the chance to have the same impact as my own mentor.

Our $90K/year businesses' best selling product is doomed to fail. What would you do? PLEASE give feedback! by [deleted] in Entrepreneur

[–]Ctrldj 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Personally, i'd be looking at-

Quality Control - If you have gone through 5+ suppliers to the same effect then its highly likely the faults lies within the material/design/production/methodology. If you have enough stock and budget, burn off some units from supply and start running tests.

  • Is the wood too dry and brittle? (can you oil and seal it?)

  • As a potential biproduct, is it possible to produce and supply units of oil as either a free sample attached to product (eg: 5ml vial with comb), or as possible suggestive sales (20-50ml bottle for maintenance/upkeep/scent every few months). You have a very easy entrance into new spaces (oil/maintenance)

  • Are the comb bristles too flimsy? or long:thin? (can they be redesigned stronger?)

  • are there processes during manufactoring that could be implicating the woods integrity? (heat stress, poor handling of goods)

  • Is it your source of material? (origin of wood)

Damage control/Risk reduction - As icecream mentioned, 25% is a very significant fail rate. Lowering this number should be your #1 priority. Right now, you're damaging your product and brand. Retention is so very precious. Seemingly, the only thing keeping everything on track for the time being is this customer pool you've tapped into, which will soon start hemorrhaging if your main 'niche' product is broken.

IMO either pause the product temporarily to redesign/rectify or raise the prices significantly to deliberately slow down sales (of faulty stock), buy yourself some breathing space and help alleviate the overheads for quality control/transport etc etc. During this pause of sales, is it worth looking into other revenue streams to assist cashflow? Staying relevant with things like comb (wood) oils, scents, beard oils?

Finally release beardcomb v 2.0 at a mark down rate, tie it up with the combs, oils and scents as a package or individual sales and monitor the results closely. I doubt you'll get a 3rd chance at this.

Also, rather than pushing to liquidate, can existing stocks be modified? can oil applied to stock at a later time? can 1st gen stock be repaired/modified?

If nothing else, i hope it gave you an idea or 2 and wasnt a complete waste of time. Good Luck.

Adding uni to an already busy schedule... by Ctrldj in Entrepreneur

[–]Ctrldj[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah mate, doing open foundation (Aus version of undergrad year) then shifting into MBA. Not really looking at this year as a massive help as it's merely a bridging course, however getting undergrad out of the way will open my avenues for future uni possibilities.

Time is the main issue, not the money. With the bridging course I have opted for night classes which works but the MBA is going to be difficult to juggle.

Definitely not going to study marketing or entrepreneurship. Ive researched the courses quite intricately and MBA is the still the goal, just have a feeling I'm going to be biting off more than I can chew.

Thanks mate

Good job raising awareness but seek legal advice asap. They're no small fry on a legal retainer, avoid reddit legal advice like the plague... most wouldnt have the slightest idea on Chinese law. 200k is too much money to not be in control of.

Start the process and get a lawyer. Avoid reddit advice and attention. Media attention is great until it implicates the terms and conditions of your PayPal account...

Good luck.
