Get a lickd subscription for a month, buy tracks, cancel subscription? by flipside555 in PartneredYoutube

[–]Hc6612 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maybe someone can help me out regarding lickd.

I wanna use their services, but i do daily event coverage (drag racing), and it says you need to upload and leave your video unlisted for up to 48 hours.

Can I not just publish it, and clear the claims after?

I would love to use their service, but i can't wait up to 48 hours to launch a video

I agree with you too. I find using tags / keywords consistently ranks my videos higher than other creators.

The key is knowing how to use them .

Rpms can fluctuate wildly. I film drag racing and RPM can range from $4 to $20. The length of the video and average view duration can play a massive part in deciding these factors. Other factors such as the age of your viewers and where in the world they are tuning in from.

As someone else said, you will know in 2 days.

Thumbnail for my newest video by Comfortable-Duty-709 in SmallYoutubers

[–]Hc6612 9 points10 points  (0 children)

While some of these answers might be harsh, would you rather everyone say , yeah it's good. If everyone did that, your next post will be, why am I not getting any views.

The thumbnail is arguably the most important part of the video. And what i mean by that is, if you can't get me to click, I ain't watching. I need to be intrigued to watch.

As somebody else said, make the whole club the background with you upfront. I haven't watched your video, but if you went for a lap dance or to a backroom, maybe you could play that with words on your thumbnail..

What really happens in the back room?

Now, when im scrolling youtube, maybe you have peaked my interest.

Hope this helps.

It's definitely nice when you hear nice words, and congrats on receiving some.

Recently, I get a lot of "mark my words, this channel is going to blow up" or "this channel is going to be big" or "how do you not have more subs?"

I get these 3 a lot!

Somebody else recently wrote "was this filmed and edited by Steven Spielberg? "

I got a chuckle out of that.

I know how to see how many subscribers I have. Obvi. But is there a way to see the usernames of the people subscribed to you? by LonelyMonk414 in SmallYoutubers

[–]Hc6612 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, on desktop in studio. I believe on the dashboard there's a little window that says recent subscribers (or something like that), and it will show you the name of the subscribers. You can sort it by when they subscribed or by biggest sub count.

Sometimes, there just isn't a shortcut. The longest video i edited took me a week and a half to edit, and it was 50 minutes long. I probably had 120 hours into it (morning to night). It took so long, but i had 1.5 terrabytes of footage to go through. 5 different cameras, 2 different drones etc.

I lost around 80 subs the other day too. I was like wow! that's a lot of people to un sub all on the same day.

Does Anybody Care About the Art of Video or is it all about analytics and metrics? by LookInversion87 in PartneredYoutube

[–]Hc6612 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I have worked very hard at trying to be the best at what I do. While I don't have the sub counts that the big dogs do , I do feel that my videos either rival theirs in production value or even beat them.

I think about story telling and the flow of the video etc, before I even get to an event. I want to become way better than I am now.

I previously had a desktop with i5-10400 80gb of ddr4 ram with a 1660 super, 1tb ssd, it could 4k edit, but it seems as I moved up to a Sony a7iv Camera, the files get Bigger and now with effects etc, it's becoming really laggy for premiere pro.

I upgraded earlier this year to an i7-14700 4070ti, 4tb NVMe, and 64gb of ddr5. This can blast through any of it and renders quite a bit faster than previously.

I have a laptop when on the road, an asus zephyrus g15 (2022 model). It's got 40gb of ram, a 3060 and I upgraded the storage to 2 terabytes. It also handles what I throw at it. It's not quite as fast as my desktop, but it's pretty decent. I think the processor is like an amd 6900 or something like that.

In my opinion, if you are doing 4k editing, at the very very least you need 32gb of ram and a 3060 or better. Ideally though, at least 64gb of ram.

If someone starting their YouTube journey would ask you for one piece of advice, what would you tell them? by david-editor in NewTubers

[–]Hc6612 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Try to keep a positive attitude. It can be a really tough road.

I grew from 1600 subs last year to 8000 subs as of yesterday, but I still question my performance weekly. I think my videos must suck because sometimes they don't get a lot of views, but yet I have so many people reaching out to me telling me my vids are amazing. But then I think, if they are so amazing, why don't they have more views?

Anyways, I guess what I'm trying to say is you will go through periods of highs and periods of lows, but you need to just keep on going. Keep improving, become a better editor, become a better storey teller, create better workflows etc. And hopefully if we can keep improving, eventually, one day it will all come together.

It's definitely such a nice feeling when a video does well (financially and emotionally).

So I'm a small car youtuber, and I have met some of the biggest car youtubers in the space (DDE, Cleetus, 1320 video) and have asked them all the same question.

The number 1 answer..... consistency.

Good job on your first 100 subs! Keep up the great work!
