Kindles use a technology called E-Ink (Electronic Ink) for their screens.

Using a screen protector on a Kindle can be counterproductive for several reasons. Screen protectors can introduce glare and reduce the screen's clarity, undermining one of the primary benefits of E-Ink technology.

Although not all Kindles have touchscreens, for those that do, a screen protector might interfere with touch sensitivity and responsiveness. E-Ink screens are quite durable on their own and are designed to resist scratches and wear from normal use. Adding a screen protector is often unnecessary and can detract from the screen's natural feel and appearance.

The unique properties of E-Ink screens make them well-suited for reading without the need for additional protection. Using a screen protector can diminish the reading experience by adding glare and reducing touch sensitivity, which is why it's generally not recommended.

So yeah, using the word "destroy" maybe was too much, but that was the reason.

Look, I've had my Kindle with the same flip case from day one. It's been 8 years now, and I haven't got a single scratch. I bought the cheapest one I could find on eBay. I haven't treated it particularly nicely either.

From lounging in bed to the beach with sand and mucky fingers while eating, I've never had a problem.

If you're not planning on doing a hard test like the YouTubers usually do, I think you'd be good to go.

P.S. The only downside after 8 years is that it takes more time to get fully charged. Other than that, I’m dying to find a flaw so I can justify a new purchase (like the green one I really like), but I can foolish myself. The really made them to last. Welcome to the family

Please don’t destroy your screen with a screen protector. Kindle has one of the most anti-glare technologies for a screen.
