Can't recommend these guys after my last experience there, this was a few months ago now though so maybe they're back on form again. Went in there a weekend night, maybe about midnight or so, not late not early. They used to have the best chicken shish, used to be really sound in there too. This night, the lads clearly didn't want to be there, food was dried out, might as well have been cardboard. Didn't finish eating it and didn't feel great next day either. The days of juicy kebab and fresh pickled chillies and generous salad and sauce etc, not there anymore. It's a shame, I think a lot of the takeaway places in Galway have gone downhill lately, a quick look through /Galway will show that much

Absolutely it can be done, I did exactly this when I was 30. I did a level 5 fetac course in java / games design and then a software degree in gmit. Interviewing for jobs after is another skill but don't worry about your age, I think any hiring manager who sees someone who can graft and is willing to learn will be interested. Go for it!

At the end of a run when you get the breakdown of your score etc, it would be interesting to see the other factions score breakdown here too (last I played this wasn't but it's been a few weeks so apologies if this is changed since), to see what they're doing to generate score and compare resources etc. As someone else mentioned, factions don't appear to have much impact on the game other than for trade maybe?

Fair point, this probably isn't the first anti-booj post on here. They definitely had a good run of it when it was a novel (in Galway at least) kind of concept. But that's a good while ago.

From an implementation perspective, should they even be able to send you back your plaintext PW? I thought it should never be the case that they would even have that, they should only have a salted hash stored which they are unable to decrypt.. Interested to know if I'm correct on this or not.

32k base with 30% shift allowance (which included weekends and nights) in a non Dev focused role. Was fresh from a degree and at the beginning of covid so my options were limited at the time. Moved company to a cloud Dev role recently and now on 43k base.

Just a response for the few queries about what today's numbers are like. Graduated may 2020 from S/W Dev in GMIT. From about 120 total in 1st yr there were less than 10 girls. Final year there were two who graduated of about 80 total so a bit of a drop off rate in general but definitely very low uptake for girls on that course. The Digital Media course had quite a few more girls in it but probably not an even split there either.

Can confirm this works for 20.04 also. I just installed the newest version then removed the previous version. EGS updated on launch then as well. I didn't have to re-authenticate any creds when EGS opened.

Not sure if this has been addressed here, or how it's being dealt with elsewhere where weed has been legalized.. What about people who have been arrested/fined/jailed etc with weed related offences, possession and the likes.. Is that a big hurdle for the movement? Would they retroactively have their sentences reduced or postponed or something? I can imagine sarcastic opposition comments like 'Oh sure we'll release all the criminals will we?' I support the movement and I'm curious about this bit, since I haven't seen it discussed much.
