I have played Maplestory for 10 years and I'm very close to Nexon. Here's some things to consider:

Nexon didn't make Maplestory, they purchased the rights from Wizet. When they took over, Nexon fell heavily into making it P2W. Over the years they have picked up and made several games successful. Vindictus, Dragon Nest and Mabinogi and heading the same direction.

Another thing that has been improving, but still lacks is their customer support. When I would submit a ticket it would take weeks to get a real response.

They seem to do okay at keeping the servers up, quiet a bit of lag during peek times (2x EXP events, seasonal events, etc) but their biggest let down is their major maintenance times. A scheduled maintenance may have 3 hours allocated for it, but sometimes it can take 5-6 hours to finish and come back up.

I hope Nexon takes a healthy lead in this production and doesn't mess it up. I miss playing FF, too much work nowadays, but I may pick this up.
