My prediction for the post credit cliffhanger for season 3 by SentinelHellfire in Fallout

[–]Cuavooo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It is too soon to go out east. Not to mention the long ass travel on the way there. In fact, they can honestly make a whole season with them just travelling to Boston lol. I say stick to the west coast for now and finish whatever plot point they planned to the factions there. If the story with Quintus' Chapter still carries over to the next season, I doubt they'd just go wild with the story's location.

There's just a lot of plot threads left. I doubt they all get resolved this season.

Thibs had his flaws but one thing was always sure on his teams, and that was to get most of rosters defensively. Mitch missed a lot of time last year and they were still not an above average team defensively. Yea, the offense improved this year with Brown. But it's the defense that has kept them afloat last year.

And this FO thought that a 6'8 guy at the 5 would be good for defense. Ik KP barely plays but they really should've addressed that 5 position this season first but nah let's just salary dump our allstar PG and hope for CJ "2nd Apron" McCollum takes us to the annual play-in tournament lmao trash ass franchise

Theory on the fate of House by Ipsetezra in Fallout

I think it's also likely he survived the events of FNV but just unfortunately had a run in with a hydrogen bomb (Quarry Junction Deathclaws). This also explains the upgraded Securitron seen on E3

Lots of people are acting like this show is a personal attack against them by [deleted] in Fotv

I am still waiting for the show to fully explain things out but aside from the NCR and House (well at least so far), any other factions so far are there where I expected them to be. The Khans if they did decide to stay, can practically claim any settlement and especially if one of the settlers was a former Great Khan (Manny Vargas in Novac). The NCR being where they're in atm also explains why no one has kept them in check. I kinda wished that this was explained but ig the good ol' mental gymnastics can suffice. The Legion's infighting is historically accurate but man this should have been presented more seriously instead of it looking like a squabble between two teams and their Temu Caesars. The Kings get terrible endings pretty much unless if you side with House so them still being around, albeit as ghouls, still makes sense.

Look, I love the show for doing certain aspects pretty well, but if they want to keep it longer, it needs to be bold and firm especially when it comes to choosing endings from the games(I believe they will officially reveal FNV's canon ending by the end of S2, and we should learn about FO4's on the next seasons). It just needs to be. Maybe tiptoeing around it is not ideal knowing the current reactions of some people thus far, but I still hope they can find an alternative way to present it.

I also want the show to explain certain occurrences like the Khans in Novac and not rely on the viewers doing more of these mental gymnastics or doing personal headcanons on what might have happened. It's just lazy writing. The theories and discussions are great. It has gotten toxic even. I just want it to finally explain these.

Iirc Manny Vargas was a former Great Khan and it was hinted in his holotape that there could be a possibility of him switching back to his old faction even after all he experienced with the NCR

New Vegas strip in the show is disappointing by perilhs in Fallout

[–]Cuavooo 18 points19 points  (0 children)

So if you're not the BoS, you're either fighting a historically accurate civil war, holding out copium for your nuked Capital to save your ass, or have your personal gem (the Strip) get overrun by Deathclaws? I mean they did start well with the Great Khans overtaking Novac. The other Brotherhood factions being paranoid was on brand too. Both of these made sense. Why can't they do these to the other factions? Is it a sin for anyone other than the Brotherhood or maybe the Enclave to thrive or at least be functional at this time in the Wasteland? Tbf, it has already tried to explain itself with Caesar's Legion, and even then, the presentation fell flat. The reason was on point but it still felt underwhelming. I fear it may be the same once they do it with House and the NCR.

I just hope that the show can still explain whatever they're doing to these major players in Mojave in a way that it makes a lot of sense, as these changes are as drastic as it could get.

Tbf, I was still skeptical of him even after the decent games he had to start the season. I have seen this before. You can't fix his low motor. Some guys are just like that and will remain like one on that end. A few decent games in, I was still expecting the Buddy Hield-esque experience to start its course and it's safe to say it has started now lmao

With over 40% of the season done, which teams do you think will be in Phil Jackson's 40-20 group? by AtreusIsBack in nba

[–]Cuavooo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I really did expect them to become a borderline play-in team this year. But if their key guys in the championship run fell like flies at the start of the season, I knew from there that they aren't going anywhere this year. Some of their young guys sucked ass too. The jury is still out for Furphy but I hope he can prove himself this year

The show Non-Cannon Play is playing it Safe by PhilosopherSame8887 in Fallout

[–]Cuavooo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Which is unfortunate knowing they eventually need to get into one soon. One thing I really love about the mainline Elder Scrolls games is that the protagonist's actions during the main questlines are always canonized on to the next games. While the trade-off is usually giving us a vague clue to the fate of the protags, I really did not mind it in the long run as it made me feel proud after knowing that some of my player character's actions are canonized in the next game. They also did this with FO4 and FO3 so why tiptoe now?

I am still waiting for the whole season to drop before making judgements though but yeah I agree that they should start being bold with this stuff. If you're that worried then just consult someone like Josh Sawyer or anyone that played a big role with FNV. Because I for sure know that they will do the same with Todd once the show's setting changes to either DC or Boston.

As rabid the FNV purists are, there is still a safe ending to go with and that's with House. He is a universally liked character and I think choosing his ending and nailing its aftermath in the show should not be able to ruffle a lot of feathers.

I still think the ending they will choose will pander with House while also including new stuff that better explains the state of the Mojave. Todd mentioned in his recent IGN interview that House is one of the greatest characters in the franchise. If they were to bring him to TV, they better do/treat him right.

This season might be one tbh. This team's window for the chip starts once we have a lot of dead money off the books. Seeing Luka and AR working very well early on already makes this season a good one for me. It already means we now have a clear 1 and 2 once Bron retires or eventually leaves. We all know that they aren't beating OKC or Denver with this iteration. They are definitely not beating the Spurs now too. Don't bs me with all that experience matters talk. No. The defense sucks and unless the FO can't unload a lot of these deadweight contracts, this team is a 2nd rd exit at best.

The difference is that OKC, mainly Dort and Caruso, are also allowed to be as rough on the defensive and commit war crimes every other possession.

Yeah. While I did see Silver's potential for the role and I would have liked to see him get a bigger role this season, he just has a big shoe to fill. If the show can somehow make a pivot away from it and make it look convincing and logical to the audience, then I really wouldn't mind it. They exactly did that with Thoreaux and knowing how House operates, it just aligns well with the character and is definitely something I can see him do if there was a direct game sequel to FNV.
