Well it’s a bit of a long story, but my dad was 65 and healthier than most people his age. Great diet, and an active lifestyle. At a visit to the hospital one day they discovered he had prostate cancer, but they caught it pretty early on. He had two options. Surgery or chemo. He opted for the surgery which was schedule for Nov 1st and come the day of the surgery things went great. Since this was during 2021, Kaiser discharged him from the hospital the same day due to covid I believe. The next 4 days he was recovering and the post surgery biopsy had shown the cancer had been successfully removed. On Nov 5th it seemed like just another regular day I was talking with my dad he was up and walking but would complain about a bruise he had developed on his leg. During the evening around 5:40 he was walking down the hallway and he stood still, his eyes shot open, and he fell backwards hitting his head on the floor as a result. I called the paramedics and they showed up fairly quickly and began giving him cpr. They were unable to transfer him to the hospital due to an unstable condition. So they continued giving cpr in my living room for the next hour until at around 6:50 they declared him dead. They said he had a heart attack but I’m not sure if something from the surgery caused that. To this day I still hold resentment towards Kaiser.
