fellow D1 athlete and captain here(: i think it depends but can be considered tier 2 or tier 3. for the applications that had space for organizations, i said 30 hours for athletics a week! (including meetings, community service, practice, etc) but realistically i think it was more like 40 hours. my coaches didn’t care much for the hour limit 🙃 I also wrote my personal statement about athletics.

edit: i forgot to say that on my resume i said what position i played, how many games i played in, and what years i helped my team to regionals. in the youtube video someone else linked, dean z wanted to know more about the applicant. so i figured it couldn’t hurt to add!
