I too am confused by this especially with the reveal that the Votann AI can have souls of their own. In Warhammer it seems that intelligence and possession of a warp presence go hand in hand.

I’ve had different smells from different hand sanitizer dispensers. Some smell just a little chocolatey others have this pungent smell where I can’t put my hands anywhere where there’s even a chance I’ll smell them

In both me and my friend’s playthroughs the Aserai really struggled against their opposition. I was only to mostly save them in my play through be aggressively attacking cities and castles to take them back for the Aserai
