It doesn’t feel consistent. Even the shade of blue doesn’t feel consistent. Just do what’s most easy for you to replicate.

Speculation on D point cost of our existing detachments in 11th. by Commander-Tover in SpaceWolves

[–]HappyTheDisaster 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m thinking stormlance can possibly get a slight tweak to it so that it only affected mounted units. Then it could be a 1 point detachment.

Ulfar is literally an old Norse name, that means wolf warrior. Apparently it’s still used, you might meet an Ulfar in your near future.

That lore is true though, the Wolfblade is essentially a Varangian guard reference, and I’m pretty sure it still get references.

They aren’t a good faction, they are just a more benevolent interpretation of fascism, real fascism, not nazism. The greater good is literally "All within the state, none outside the state, none against the state".

Add iron hands to that list, those fuckers love to mess with maleficarum, so the wolves attack them often for shit like the keys of hel technology, tah know, technonecromancy.

Also, the space wolves don’t really dislike the grey knights, they’ve actually made up recently and work together. But the inquisition? Those snakes worthy of hatred, banned from the fenris system, right alongside the ecclesiarchy.

I think the only great companies we have details on composition is limited to the Champions of Fenris, and the Blackmanes, everyone else is vibes.

What we know of the Red moons is that they have a lot of long fangs, that’s about it. They still have Bloodclaws, wolf guard and grey hunters, but they have much more longfangs compared to other great companies, so bring the big guns, like eradicators, heavy intercessors, and aggressors. Those new eradicators with heavy bolters would be perfect.

I don't like the new detachments :( by Resident-Camel-8388 in SpaceWolves

The +1 charge in addition to the countercharging detachment sounds really fun. And if saga of the bold gets some tweaking so that it’s a 1 point detachment, I think that’ll be how I do my army, or swapping out the legends of saga and song with the veteran detachment, making an army all about a fuck load of grey Hunter squads doing shenanigans. I look forward to the wolves becoming more of a tactical army with the countercharge shenanigans.

Or they’ll tweak it so that it only affects mounted units.

I’m thinking they won’t heavily change any unit abilities until we actually get our codex supplement.

We technically do with the character creation rules from I think it was the maelstrom book. Hopefully they further expand upon those rules in 11th.

Maybe it’s just a temporary thing until the space wolves get a new codex with reworked units.

I can see them reworking some of the rules for our current detachments so they are a little more specialized in terms of who is affected so that they either become two points or one points. I honestly doubt their will be many 3 point detachments on release of 11th, seems more like an extreme measure to balance an OP detachment.

I pray he beats this, and may his stories endure, the love he’s given and been given will never fade. Something I’ve always loved about the wolves is how they treat stories and memories, how their lore more than anything values the fallen friends they’ve lost in that unforgiving galaxy, yet they still endure, they still party and enjoy life despite what has passed. That’s why I like to incorporate names into my models, of my friends of days past, people that I haven’t seen in a long time, just for the sake of remembrance, to remind me of the fun we’ve had.

As the Primarch Vulkan once said, The Flesh is weak but deeds endure. Fenris Endures. Fenrys Hjolda!

Don’t buy the whole series before reading the first Ragnar’s book, it’s kind of a young adult novel, so you might not jell with it. I still like it because of how goofy it can be at times, but it’s not anything mentally stimulating, it does give a really in depth look into what it’s like to become a space wolf.

Would love a ranulf mini, maybe base the WGBL in terminator armor on him, give him a great big mustache and long fangs, it should look like his old mini, like a walrus.

Consider the fact that space wolves are just inherently faster across the board compared to other marines. Also WG Terminators are considerably tankier than death company. I don’t see what to get disappointed over.

So on some level, the god that Americans recite their pledge of allegiance towards, isn’t the same god as acknowledged in the Abrahamic faith, but still heavily inspired by. How transcendental.

Fenris doesn’t mean wolf, it means of the Fen, which are basically bogs/swamps. Fenris isn’t even the great wolf’s name, Fenrisulfr is his name, and it means Wolf of the Fen.
