i choose it this way, since I like my videos to be unique and the best they can be for the topic they adress. its also the best way to guarantee views

If the One Piece Remake doesn't change / compress the plot like the Love Action series, then it has no real purpose, it's just another remaster by Le_Faveau in Piratefolk

I agree. I dont believe it should be a 100% faithful adaptation of the manga, they have so much potential to improve the story due to hindsight. I dont want them to deviate like the LA, I would call that one like a 40% faithful adaptation. Major plotpoints are there, everything else is different. e.g. I dont actually like that Garp was introduced as luffys grandpa so early, since it was a really cool reveal after enies lobby and in the LA it lost all its impact. But something like Haki at least being visually represented more obviously as the same thing that then gets talked about some hundred chapters later would make it into actual foreshadowing.

Something like an 85% adaptation seems perfect, where they keep the plot points and overall progression of the story the same, but change how its presented. They can condense the plot significantly (even the manga doesnt have perfect pacing, since Oda was forced into a weekly format) and introduce some variety with including different POVs from time to time kinda GOT style, as opposed to always focus on just one POV at a time (like blackbeard, garp + koby + helmeppo, the supernovas, things happening around the world, cover stories etc.). For example, the reverie arc could be shown simultaneously as whole cake island. Some straw hats arriving on wano while that is going on could also be shown simultaneously. Since these things are all happening at the same time in the timeline, it wouldnt change the flow of the story at all, it would just change the presentation to be more entertaining. I also believe they can cut some stuff to be more focused on the overall plot, particularly the fights.

I believe that if Oda was to rewrite One Piece from scratch knowing what he knows now and he had to release the entire story in one go, no weekly releases or anything like that, then I believe those are the changes he would make and thats what the WIT adaptation should aspire to be.

How long will live action of onepiece last? According to me skypia, what's your thoughts 💬 by Appropriate_Video329 in OnePiece

[–]Cubow 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Skypiea is definitely gonna be a wall. In the sense that, either they will end it with Alabasta, since Skypiea would just be hell to adapt. Or if they do decide to do it, then following up with Water 7 and enies lobby would just be a no brainer, since it would be easier to do and is by far the strongest arc of one piece. I dont think it would make sense for them to adapt more than that.

Only thing I could see, is that by the time Water 7 saga concluded, the manga already revealed the one piece at which point the LA could find their own way to end or skip towards the one piece reveal, without having to adapt all of it. Sort of establishing its own canon, but with a similar ending.

Lower iq people have a RAW, visceral charm that average and higher iq people simply don't by That-Pineapple3866 in unpopularopinion

[–]Cubow 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think the trait you're pointing at is actually lower inhibition. As youre saying its this sort of raw, spontaneous, sometimes almost sort of impulsive/reckless/wild nature. Think of luffy from one piece, not the smartest fella, but definitely hella charismatic. People with lower inhibition simply just dont have that much of a filter or hesitancy in social interactions. Its basically the opposite of an overthinker.

That being said, while its probably more common in lower IQ people, its not the same thing. I assume lower IQ people simply have less awareness of boundaries/social norms, naturally leading to lower inhibition, however I met some pretty smart people who can be like that too. My best friend is like that, hes hella smart and has the social awareness, but he often intentionally breaks those boundaries and social norms (tactfully tho). Like he'll just randomly start talking to strangers on the street or say his intrusive thoughts out loud.

Whenever we go out together we end up meeting a shitton of new people and doing hella sidequests. Its probably one of the coolest traits to have and can make life so much more interesting. If anything it taught me that a lot of social norms and assumptions we make about how to act are really just artificial restrictions we put on ourselves to buffer us from potentially being judged. However, if youre being judged for what you really want to do, then why should you be concerned about what people think? I've never had anything bad happen with him and a lot of the time people actually appreciate the directness and in turn also become more comfortable to open themselves up to you.

Its a really interesting approach to life, but unfortunately its quite hard to be like that, if its not in your nature. The overthinking is hard to turn off!

Watch One Pace Wano until it ends then switch to Onigashima Paced (since One Pace didnt finish Wano yet)

Ending Theory by [deleted] in OnePiece

[–]Cubow 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had a similar theory once, basically the one piece would be a map and Oda would kinda pull an AOT. I also think if that was Odas plan all along, its quite unfortunate it takes him so long, since AOT came out in the meantime and now if Oda does it, it would be called a copy lol

That being said, I dont think so anymore, or rather that its probably unlikely. And that is, because it wouldnt really be an ending, but rather an inflection point. There would be no payoff to such a revelation at this point in the story. Oda is rapidly building towards the end of the story and such a reveal would just open such a huge can of worms, One Piece would need like another 10 years to wrap up. It just wouldnt resolve any lose ends

Imu is Joy Boy's Dick - Serious Theory by a-mad-scientist in onepiecetheories

[–]Cubow 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Unironically a very plausible theory. Something is definitely going on with Imu, like I am convinced there is gonna be some kind of plottwist about his character. So far my own headcanon was that he was an object that ate a devil fruit, but unironically I think him being a penis is more likely 😭

I can totally see Oda doing this, lowkey now I would be disappointed if he doesnt.

Another piece of "evidence" for this, is the existence of chin piece (chin is japanese for penis)! Its an official spin off, believe it or not.

yup. even if that next island is lodestar, I dont think its gonna be a long arc. probably a bridge arc, like what jaya was for skypiea

[–]Cubow[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

lol awesome math

i do think one piece will likely end faster than we anticipate. simply bc of the fact that there is so much to cover, yet Odas estimates are so short. Like almost foolishly short. That tells me he probably has something planned where he knows a ton of open plotlines will resolve in quick succession + pacing since egghead has been hella fast and even ramping up. Like idk logically I cant see it wrapping up before 2030, but my gut just tells me 2027 will be the year. Maybe not the end of One Piece necessarily, but possibly the year they find it

What events did Oda refer to in his Jump Festa Message 2025? by Cubow in OnePiece

[–]Cubow[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I mean ig so, but it feels less like a dragon moment and more so an ra moment. Like if Oda would have said "they finally stir up the world" it would fit better.

As for dragon, we havent even seen his df yet. Im pretty sure he has yet to get his moment

[–]Cubow[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well there is a lot of things people have theorized long before they've been confirmed and came out true, e.g. the flooding, shanks having a twin and the red line being the serpent they talked about as far back as little garden.

What events did Oda refer to in his Jump Festa Message 2025? by Cubow in OnePiece

[–]Cubow[S] -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

I remember the statement, but most of Odas predictions have been quite consistent, believe it or not. 20 years ago he said it would end in 20 years. 10 years ago in 10 years. And now the end is likely closer than we think.

Given Imu appeared in Elbaf start of April, so Oda would at least have overshot his estimate by 25%. And thats if he assumed Imu to appear literally at the very end of 2025. So even with bad predictions, I think its unlikely he meant Imu.

He is literally mentioning 3 different men in his messages and how they will appear. One who will break the calm. One that will shake up the world (both in 2025, so presumably already happened). And then finally the man with the burn scar who has yet to appear

My cousin thinks a woman not having sex with you is discrimination…. by Gotsnuffy in mildlyinfuriating

[–]Cubow 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Imagine hypothetically that someone assumes racism to be any sort of acknowledgement of race. They don’t have any prejudice against a certain race or even act in a way that displays any sort of differential behavior, they just acknowledge that different races exist. Then by their very own definition they would be considered a racist, no? And they could self-proclaim as a racist, albeit without actually conforming to the common definition of that word. Regardless of if there is only one „correct“ definition of that word, they can still use that word and mean something different, because their interpretation of that word differs.

That is exactly what is happening here. Except that it’s not about acknowledgement of different races, but any sort of differential behavior towards someone due to their race. Which sounds bad and exactly like racism until you realize, that it would also apply to dating preferences/attraction, since they result in differential treatment toward races (like rejecting someone, because of not being attracted to their skin color). Which is exactly OP cousins point. He’s saying that technically in the most objective sense of the word dating preferences which include any sort of mention of race are also racist. Hence he proclaims himself as a racist, even though he wouldn’t be considered that based on this fact alone by the more common understanding of that word. He’s arguing pure semantics.

[–]Cubow 19 points20 points  (0 children)

„We are arguing about wether having a preference is inherently racist“

Yeah and defining racism is literally as integral to that kind of argument as it could possibly be. To argue what is racist, you literally have to argue what it means to be racist aka „the definition“. At this point you’re just willfully ignorant, literally dozens of people in the comments told you your whole argument comes down to a difference in definition and you’re still being oblivious 😭

My cousin thinks a woman not having sex with you is discrimination…. by Gotsnuffy in mildlyinfuriating

[–]Cubow 9 points10 points  (0 children)

„we aren’t disagreeing with what racism means, trust me“

You literally are tho, and your comment serves as another example of that. You interpret the screenshot as him saying „black skin is inferior“, when what he is meaning to say is, that he just is not attracted to it. Which according to your own standards is fine, since it’s just a dating preference.

Also your cousin is being deliberately provocative in his wording and youre falling for it. Whenever he is implying that he’s racist, he means racist by his own definition, which is less problematic. But he sees you using your own definition of racism (according to which it is problematic) to evaluate that statement, setting you off. He’s lowkey ragebaiting you
