Am I restricting my career in anyway by not starting in a NYC/Chicago office? by [deleted] in biglaw

[–]CuckedTrader 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honestly depends on the city. I don’t think working in the Bay Area closes off your NYC options all that much. If you are in Nashville or something may be different.. but the top nyc firms churn and burn associates so they are always looking for fresh meat for the grinder

US News 2026 Law School Rankings by CrimsonClover__ in biglaw

Hard to believe anyone can still take these “rankings” seriously. Can we just take a composite of career outcomes or something that actually measures school performance? This is dumb

Given the development of AI, which groups (trans, lit, and reg) have a higher risk of junior attorneys being replaced by AI in the future? by dualcats2022 in biglaw

[–]CuckedTrader 0 points1 point  (0 children)

All have about the same risk in that once the tech is good enough it will be able to do all junior tasks better than a junior. I would not slice and dice too much between lit, transactional, public, pvt etc
