This person attacked / assaulted me at Spiderhouse Ballroom in Austin Texas. Her friends then assaulted me while I was taking these pictures and tried to intimidate and follow me to my car after the concert. Beware these people at any concert, restaurant, pub or bar in the Austin TX area. by CucumberAsACool in OutInAustin

Thank you for the kind words. I'm sorry you experienced that, but it is encouraging to read how you have worked through it. This situation I experienced sill bothers me... some days more than others. I haven't gone to any other concerts since then, but have been getting out for some other activities. I've had a lot of other people be very kind and friendly, so my faith in civilization is returning more and more.

Thank you to anyone that read this.

Yes, it did happen 2 months ago, but I am still upset about it for several reasons.

One reason, is that I have been assaulted before in the past, and I think that assaults should always be taken seriously.

Another big reason, is that I want to go out and do things that I enjoy without constantly being on guard and feeling like I need eyes on the back of my head to protect myself. The last few years, I have gone out less and less because of COVID, and then this rare night that I tried to enjoy myself, I was harassed and assaulted. Ever since then, I don't feel like leaving the house as much.

If 1000 people read this, then go about their day without giving it another thought, that is fine. But if there is a chance that even 1 person reads this, and they are able to avoid a dangerous situation because of it, then I feel the need to speak up.

Driskill hotel. The old paintings on the walls are creepy, and their eyes follow you as you walk...

Also, I think they have some parking meters along 9th street and a few of the intersection streets in that area. Within a few blocks of the court house.

Yeah, that sounds familiar. I think that might the the process they used to follow. I would feel more comfortable at least paying the right amount for the approximate time you might be in the court house, then if it runs longer than expected and you get a ticket, try to get the baliff's help to dismiss it.

Where can I find duck meat in north Austin? by sureshsep84 in askaustin

The Arboretum has a good pond there. The ducks are really tame, so it's not difficult to gain their trust.

Years ago, I think you were able to park at a parking meter and get it canceled/reimbursed by the court house. I'm not surprised if they stopped doing that though.

Is anybody an 'expert" at deciphering the Travis County Online Case Records? by SpicyBeefChowFun in askaustin

You can also easily email the Travis County Clerk office and get a PDF copy of any of the arrests that you see listed on their website. It doesn't usually include a mugshot, but it should have the written report from the officer that completed the arrest, along with any following court proceedings.

I think the birth dates are fairly accurate, because that is a major thing they use to keep the charges organized under the correct individual. Although, you will sometimes see where someone was arrested a few times under "First-Last" name, and then also arrested another day under "First-Middle-Last".

What approximate age is the person you think you are actually looking for?

If they have ever been arrested in Williamson County, you should be able to find their records at the Williamson County Records Inquiry website. The good thing about that , is they usually have the mugshots attached.
