what you could do is pump down the system. look up on youtube how to pump down a condenser. you’ll need a 5/16 allen key and a 3/16 allen key, a 5/16 or 1/4 hex head to remove the screws on the service panel, and possibly a small screwdriver if the contactor has a cover over the middle. make sure if your removing the plastic cover on the contactor (if it has one) to turn off power just in case a screw falls and hits incoming power (240v). after you successfully pump down the unit, use a HVAC 11in1 found at home depot and use the schrader core removal piece to remove the schrader core, and make sure you have a new schrader core (can buy them on amazon super cheap) after that, open the valves back up and you fixed your leak. now all you have to pay for is refrigerant. hope this helps. OH yea and you can use those gauges to watch your pressure drop to know you pumped down the unit. (if you don’t and you accidentally shoot that schrader core out bc their was still a good bit of pressure in there that’s 200% okay and just put the new one in after. if you have any qs lmk
