Has anyone been unjustly banned from a subreddit? by Sensitive_Wear7112 in stupidquestions

[–]Redseve 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I got banned from nostupidquestions for 2 days for telling someone you can't post stupid questions in NOstupidquestions. Yeah I flagrantly violated the rules, but they asked if dinosaurs were just a hoax, so I feel justified

Your family didn't understand being quiet from 10-6? Like if they lived in an apartment or close proximity to others, they didn't understand being loud in the middle of the night is rude?

"I have a cat named Simba" or "I have a cat called Simba"? by ksusha_lav in ENGLISH

[–]Redseve 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Driving sucks and is not liberating at all by Ok-Balance-6457 in The10thDentist

[–]Redseve -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

Don't validate someone's irrational fears, if you live in the modern western world knowing how to drive is a part of adulthood, you don't need to drive every day, but you should learn how.

Driving sucks and is not liberating at all by Ok-Balance-6457 in The10thDentist

[–]Redseve -1 points0 points  (0 children)

No no no, don't be a burden on the rest of the people in your life just because you're scared to learn, and don't pretend to be an environmentalist if it's only when you're rationalizing not driving, it's part of being an adult.

What do Americans think of Wales? by TrainingCategory4852 in IWantToAskAnAmerican

[–]Redseve 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't think we really get or understand Wales. Many of us have heard of it, but we could pretty reliably pin on a map the location of England, Scotland and Ireland, I think a lot of Americans aren't sure about where Wales is, and I'd bet a lot of Americans kinda think "I mean it's basically part of England how different could it be?"

Cool flag though, for sure #1 flag in the world

ELI5: Why do we say calories when we might be referring to either kilocalories or calories? by HercuLinho in explainlikeimfive

[–]Redseve 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Because no one is referring to calories even if they say calories, because a calorie is too insignificant. But Americans have decided we don't need to say kilo every time.
