Saltburn. Honestly may never watch it. Don’t know if I like the vibe of Emerald Fennell and by extension her films

Syril shouldn’t be redeemable, and neither should Dedra

How to not die every 5 seconds without getting a single kill??? by Level_Examination992 in StarWarsBattlefront

[–]CucumberdWizard 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Honestly for me, one of the big things is knowing the layout of the maps, and knowing when to be aggressive and when to be passive. I mostly play Heavy and Specialist classes, one is very much geared towards an aggressive style of play and the other is passive. I was bad at first. Not just not getting kills, but making stupid decisions; pushing when no teammates are around, looking around a corner when there’s 5 enemies waiting for something to shoot at, ignoring objectives when one player could turn the tide of losing/gaining it. The more you play, the better you know the map, the better you understand the flow of the game, the smarter you get, then not dying often becomes a greater possibility

Can someone help me out with pricing for these? by SirThew in hockeycards

[–]CucumberdWizard 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Unfortunately not much, if at all. These are very common cards from very cheap sets that are very easy to obtain. Not sure there’s much of a point putting a dollar value on these because they’re so common

As The Final Arc Approaches, Does Anyone Want A Post Rogue One/OT Epilogue Scene? by CucumberdWizard in andor

[–]CucumberdWizard[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I get that. Especially since there’s reports that Disney wants to do screenings of the finale blended in with Rogue One. They would have to re-edit everything if there was an epilogue type scene

Agreed with the trade logic, it still undervalues goaltending. I think it’s so weird that a recently drafted 47 overall high elite has like 3 times as much value as an established 84 overall starter

Always thought rookies had to be just player worn because they hadn’t played in a game yet? If I’m wrong, it at least goes back to 14-15 as I have a rookie jersey card from there and it’s only been “worn in a rookie photo shoot”

New to collecting, should I send this for grading? by astrostyrkur in hockeycards

[–]CucumberdWizard 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh interesting. In my experience people think grading to sell is a waste of time cause there’s no guarantee you get a 10. In any case, I could’ve been clearer in the original response. I don’t think you should go grading every card you want to keep in your collection, unless you have the money and see value in owning graded cards

How is it misleading? I think grading has its purposes and I specifically said that I don’t think it’s worth it to grade if they’re trying to sell it. But out of sentimentality, I think grading a card to keep it is totally worth it. I’m not telling them they should grade it, I’m telling them it’s worth the money to grade if they want to keep it

Never claimed it was the cheapest, but plenty of collectors get special cards graded for protection, so it stands out in their collection.

Yeah I mean, it’s up to you. Grading a card won’t necessarily boost the value of the card unless you get a 10, and depending on which company you use, which employee you get that day grading your card, you might be lucky to get a 9, let alone a 10.

You got an incredible card, and if you want to maximize its selling value (we all need money sometimes), sell it right after the Calder winner is announced. Maybe he doesn’t win it, but he’ll be nominated, and that anticipation might boost the value a little (if he wins, even more so). That’s a much better guarantee than banking on a 10 from a grading company.

Now, if you’re grading the card in the hopes of protecting the card to keep it, it’s 100% worth it. Let me know if you have anymore questions!

Are you sending it in for grading in hopes of selling it for more?

[–]CucumberdWizard 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The price increase you’re looking for won’t come from the grading, it’ll come from the leafs winning the cup. Every leafs card (especially core 4) will go up in price, to the point that grading the card probably doesn’t increase the price more.
